Houston area investigators are looking into a stand-your-ground case where after a minor fender-bender, a 22-year-old white male was shot and killed by a 23-year-old black woman. During a morning commute, Crystal Scott and Jonathan Ables were in an accident and pulled into a Shell gasoline station to survey the damage.
According to Scott, Ables exited his truck and ran toward her driver-side door. Scott said he yelled and then hit her door and tried to open it. Fearing for her life, Scott pulled her pistol and shot Ables once through the drivers window and struck him in the chest. Ables died at the scene.
A Harris County Sheriffs spokesman, Sgt. Felipe Rivera said From what we understand it was maybe just a minor accident, while adding, The information were getting is that it appeared to be a minor accident that turned into road rage.
>snip<
An eyewitness, who appeared on camera but has requested anonymity, said that he did not hear any threat in the seconds before Scott killed Ables. The witness was pumping gas and standing 15 feet away from Ables when a bullet ricocheted past him and struck his car. The bullet left a noticeable impression on the witnesss car.
As for Scotts version of events, the witness said that if Ables had shouted or banged on the car, he would have heard it. What drew my attention was the gunshot, said the witness. I just want to be sure that I do everything in my power that everything is fair. I care about it being fair, he said. The Harris County sheriffs department has not yet responded to Spero News request for any security footage of the shooting.

Does this incident fit Allstate’s scenario???
You sure you examined that website ~ some funky stuff there dude.
Are you referring to all the stuff dissecting the Trayvon Zimmerman case???
What there do you disagree with???
So then does Allstate recommend shooting the person at the window in a case like this???
no, just the part about the houston case ~ there’s a flying pickup truck in the picture ~ i presume that’s the compelling evidence for your argument on behalf of the dead guy.
True, unless it didn't happen.
The "flying truck" just shows where the truck was parked 125 feet away in relation to the car with the shooter in it.
To know that you would have to actually read the words. Is that beyond you capability???
Well, if wasn’t threatening her, she should not have shot him.
Of course to a woman “threat” may not mean the same thing it does to man.
As I said, I hope there were lots of cameras watching and lots of video.
Perhaps, but if you are in an accident, you have to exchange your information, and you can’t leave the scene without doing so or you are the criminal. Shouting it at someone in the vehicle simply doesn’t satisfy that obligation.
You showed the pictures, not me. If the words are relevant tell us about them.
Those are insurance scams, not strongarm robbery techniques, although I suppose the same tactics could be adapted to serve another purpose. I really doubt they would waylay you at a gas station in broad daylight with plenty of witness though.
I really do like Mexican food and Our Lady of Guadalupe but I am not sure I could pull that off.
I have some workplace issues with a past 25+ year employer, and even after 4 years the malfeasance and unethical behavior I witnessed still bothers me. I would love to drop a dime on my previous boss lady, whom I believe treated me badly. I know I should forgive, but it is so hard.
I'm wondering if her original intent was to shoot him and drive off, and she didn't realize how disabling (to the shooter) it is to shoot a gun from inside a closed car. Her hearing will never be the same.
Again I don't know that either of these two people were obligated to exchange information.
Hollering over to her "hey, lady, we gots' ta' talk ~ let's go inside the pigly wigly over yonder" would make sense if there were the slightest sense that she could be armed to her teeth!
She works in a bank ~ probably getting robbed is on her mind every single day.
Now, back to the question of how threatened she felt ~ if it were her perception she'd been cut off (Whatever that might mean to her) by some yahoo in a truck who meant to do it, she might well feel he was simply following up on a continuing line of attack.
The cops will be evaluating all possibilities ~ and I will never drive in Houston again.
That’s fine, she can sit in the vehicle and give me her insurance info through a quarter inch crack in the window. Otherwise, I’m not leaving until she does.
Did you miss the words right above the picture that says this:
"Judging from the videos I believe this is where they were parked. There are street cameras I have marked as well as their direction."
Are you kidding or just a kid???
Did he break the windshield? Was the door dented?
She was securely inside the vehicle when she shot through it.
They shot the attendant but messed up on other parts and the cops caught them ~
That was the talk of the building for quite some time ~ the audacity of dopes knows no bounds!
