Hey Laz ... I can’t tell you how happy I am post No. 2 asked why you didn’t ping “him”. It’s like I’m right back where I started!
And that could be a good thing. Just seeing some of the names on this thread sure does my heart good. =)
If I could just say one thing for now — hope’s a cardinal virtue. Have to have hope even if there’s no real cause for optimism. In faith and love, bearing with each other through the bond of peace, we can have real joy always — a song at the scaffold even — instead of being dread cynical which is ultimately self-defeating, really.
It’s never “over” ... until the saints go marching in, maybe.
Give me your best advice on where I should post red meat for you with the understanding that (1) I’m not interested in elections; (2) I am always happy to back up with facts or at least a solid thesis whatever I post on the fly; and (3) I too am more interested in the spiritual and philosophical battle at the heart of all affairs concerning human hearts and conscience but don’t wish to be relegated to the Religion forum as a result.
No problems with posting some Catholic stuff there — I *really* miss hanging out with practicing Catholics — but I do observe here more than I post since my account was reupped. I know that even the ghettos have more rulz than they used to ...
I can put up with a few rules in order to relish me some JohnRob code but .... within reason. We’ll see how it goes.
Trust you and yours have been well and happy.
(Thanks you guys, KC and Annalex, for the heads-up ... got a kick out of the thread. Especially post No. 2. Ah, the good old days when everyone thought I was a guy. Appreciated the kind words on this thread more than anyone knows. =)
Thank you for the info.
It’s 4 in the morning (I only got up because I had a bit of a cough). Just wanted to acknowledge your response and will strategize more with you tomorrow. GLAD TO SEE YOU.
My first reaction to “askel5” was that it is a wayward carny from New Orleans whose name is Axel.
Best wishes knocking your viruses down. Linus Pauling was right. Vitamin C works, and it will be as good as gold when TSHTF,
along with fish oil capsules and other really helpful vitamins and supplements.
</tangent - sorry Laz!>
She was right and your right.
Grammar people, watch your grammar!
It's "you're" short for "you are" ...
(Lose the grammar, lose the language; I think we are on THAT path too.)
2009 G. Edward Griffin address on the problems and offering a sort of solution strategy:G. Edward Griffin: A dubious source for anything ...
Take your puffed up self to some other poster. I have no respect for your opinion.
Take your puffed up ...Griffin is as dubious a source as any; instead of arguing his merit you cast insults ... if you want to hitch your wagon to the irreputable Griffin go right ahead.
As Griffin is a source of many conspiracy theories involving the Fed, just remember:
Conspiracy theories are the favored tools of the weak-minded.
Welcome back. And don’t ever lose your fire ...
Why is she back? Did someone buy the poor bright thang a used computer so she can plagiarize 90 percent of anything she writes?
Love your #184 post, Laz!
I still have no respect for your puffed up, arrogant, condescending opinion. Griffin is no guru, but I certainly respect what he has said more than anything you’ve written. You sound jealous that he has recognition by some ... or is that your job, to throw water on the theories that the fed is a corrupt oligarchical cabal?
Thanks for the info, TOL. I usually load up on C at the earliest hint and rarely get sick or a cold. “C” is amazing. I was late this time and was a little run down from a difficult work schedule.
Good to see you back Askel5! Great thread. Lots of good posts/advice
Me too! They have a better retirement plan...
I note that you are on the Nut-Job Conspiracy Ping list...
...although it is perhaps worth mentioning that you were grandfathered in from the original thread and didn’t actually threaten me to get on it.
Underscore Jim! How the hell have YOU been?
Good to see you ... =)
Good to see you too, Laz. Thanks for yanking my chain.
(in a good way ... little Gramsci humor there, yeah? =)
I miss those days too, no doubt. Maybe KC could connive us all into meeting Midway one day. Having done four years in Leavenworth, I know for a fact the bridge proudly proclaimed to all coming in from Missouri: Welcome to Midway, USA!
If you guys still hang out, give everyone my best.
PS — Um, did you know you have cycle spelled wrong?
Noumenon ... (I just wanted to say your name =)
AND thank you for the Orwell.
ETL ... thank you too. I’ve taken some of your links in the past. Cheers.
Yes, and did you forget the copyright thing? Keep in touch and don’t go missing again.
Putin is probably snickering, and saying..... "They just thought they won the cold war."

I guess what I'm looking for is solutions to the Gramscian gradualism to liberalism, communism, and immorality we find ourselves in.
Whatever forum you think is appropriate, and whatever you can offer, would be the way to go. I guess we're brainstorming.
Curiously, I recall seeing someone mention that way back in 2001 or 2002. I don't remember if bmwcyle said it was a mistake or on purpose, but I do recall the original observer quite amused at how our eyes complete imperfect words.
Your observations and opinions would be highly valued.
Regards - Ward
Absolutely laughing his butt off...
If Russia were truly done with Communism and are now Capitalists, why would they still support Marxist dictatorships such as Venezuela, Cuba, other far left regimes throughout Latin America, the ChiComs and North Korea? Their criticisms of Obama being a Socialist are bogus. If they really are now opposed to Socialism/Communism they would join us (pre-Obama) in condemning these regimes, not help build them up.
Did Communism Fake Its Own Death in 1991?
American Thinker ^ | January 16, 2010 | Jason McNew
In a 1984 book [New Lies for Old], ex-KGB Major Anatoliy Golitsyn predicted the liberalization of the Soviet Bloc and claimed that it would be a strategic deception. ..."
"Golitsyn's argument was that beginning in about 1960, the Soviet Union embarked on a strategy of massive long-range strategic deception which would span several decades and result in the destruction of Western capitalism and the erection of a communist world government."
"Golitsyn published his second book, The Perestroika Deception, after the Soviet Union was dissolved in 1991. This book contained further analysis of the liberalization, in addition to previously classified memoranda submitted by Golitsyn to the CIA. The two books must be read together to get a complete picture of Golitsyn's thesis."
FReeper khelus provided the following links for reading/downloading both books in their entirety (free, on pdf file):
New Lies for Old:
"the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the [20th] century" -Russian leader Vladimir Putin on the collapse of the Soviet Union...
"World democratic opinion has yet to realize the alarming implications of President Vladimir Putin's State of the Union speech on April 25, 2005, in which he said that the collapse of the Soviet Union represented the 'greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the century.'
"'The Black Book of Communism,'; a scholarly accounting of communisms crimes, counts about 94 million murdered by the supposed champions of the common man (20 million for the Soviets alone), and some say that number is too low."

Biting a zombie.
Last thing they would ever expect.
You're welcome. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the ping and links. I found it interesting how many ignored that remark by Putin.
I could not get the link to the article by Beichman to work, but found this one:
(It looks like the web site was reorganized.)
Also I found an online link for the Black Book of Communism:
Read online or download free
“Youre not going to ping him?”
He’s a her.
Thanks very much for the alert on the link no longer working, a new link for it, and for the link to the book download. I’ll most definitely add it to my collection.
Hey Laz, I read that you have a great ping list (from you actually..lol).
May I be added sir?
I only picked this thread because it was the first one I could find with your name on it.
You will be added to both Rage Monkey and Editorial!
Hey.... I was kinda busy on the one day you were here... can we communicate somehow? I want to strategize a long term solution to the Gramscian conundrum we are in.
Thank you Laz! I’m sure it will be yet another “satisfied customer”. Have a good weekend.
:) Look for 1-3 new Rage Monkeys and at least 1 editorial. :)
