Satire ^

Reports that a majority of the nation's overseas soldiers and sailors won't be able to cast votes in this election because the Department of Defense hasn't made the effort to implement an effective absentee ballot process were brushed off by DOD brass.
Secretary Leon Panetta said he regrets that some of our valiant warriors will be disenfranchised, but attributed the problem to the need to set priorities.
Among the lengthy enumeration of 'things to do' that are on my plate, ensuring that the troops get to vote is pretty far down the list, Panetta said.

First they take away the Soldier's Guns when Panetta visits and now they take away the Soldier's Ballots when Obama might be asked to leave.

Oh, you card, you! Had me going for a moment.
For real: my wife & I are retired military and today we visited Arlington cemetery; we saw the changing of the guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns and left feeling very moved that despite the tragedy of all those lives lost there is permanence of our basic values that go on after we are gone.
Or so we thought. Pray for this nation I beg you all.

Secretary Leon Panetta said he regrets that some of our valiant warriors will be disenfranchised, but attributed the problem to the need to set priorities. The priority he is talking about, is getting Obama re-elected. Will they get away with it? Absolutely yes. Will anyone challenge them on it? Absolutely not. They get away with criminal activity time after time after time, and they will never pay for it. I wish it were different, but that is reality.

Everyone knows that the election is every four years. I was overseas 10 years out of 24 military years and always absentee voted. This is nothing new. They are just trying to make the military personnel look stupid for not knowing how to think for themselves. It always frustrates me when they think military personnel need to be coddled about EVERYTHING.

FU to Leon Panneta, FU to the Pentagon brass like General Dempsey. The unwritten saying from this regime and brass, shut up and serve and you don’t need to vote.....
