The Moderator For the Next Debate?

Posted on 10/18/2012 8:02:05 PM PDT by Vinylly

I haven't heard who the moderator is for the next debate. My concern is will the next moderator be another biased fiasco like Crawley? Will he/she be fair and keep the debaters in check or will he/she get into the debate like Crawley did? I'm also wondering why the moderators have to be from the extream left side of the media? Why can't they choose somebody from FOX News Channel for example? I'm sure that Bill O'Reilly would be an excellent and fair moderator. Doesn't the Republican Party have anything to say about who the moderators will be, just to be fair and balanced???

“Look to Professor Larry Sabato of NC to be a good Moderator.”

Close but no cigar. Sabato is from UVA. And hardly objective.

Here's what one of the skid marks on Journalism's shorts has for us this Monday, folks.

Tuesday 23 Oct. 2012 - Asked why he did not have any questions about Benghazi for President Obama at Monday's debate Schieffer exclaimed, "Benghazi? I Just Didn't Know About It. If I had known about it I would not have stopped Gov. Romney from asking about it. I've been on vacation and I just missed it."

Monday, July 19, 2010 - Unbelievable! CBS's Bob Schieffer: I Didn't Ask Holder About Black Panther Case Because 'I Just Didn't Know About It' (3 min. video Schieffer 'splains to Fox reporter)

You’re exactly right! Bob Schieffer is MUCH worse than Crowley! He’s a nasty, mean old man who HATES any politician who isn’t a Dem. He will go after Romney at every chance he gets and will blow kisses and hugs to Obama all night! The only good thing is that this debate is on foreign policy which is currently an anchor on Barry.

The Repubs. have ONCE AGAIN totally wussed out on the debate rules! Why on earth they ever agreed to these moderators is unfathonable! And can we just have actual DEBATES instad of these silly 2 minute exchanges?

FOX is left-wing as well. Just not nearly as bad.

” - - - Sabato is from UVA. - - - - “

Thanks! I stand corrected.

_______

” - - - And hardly objective. - - - “

Then have Prof. Larry Sabato Moderate the first half, and Professor “Al Ways Objective” Moderate the second half.

__________

The Media has convincingly proven itself to be unqualified to Moderate Political Debates so let us turn to Academia Professors of History, Politics, Debate, etc.

Presidential Debates are far to important to have The Media in charge of Moderating these debates.

“The left probably want someone they deem neutral like Keith Olbermann, Chris Matthews or Rachel Madcow”

Or David Axelrod.

Having just watched the Al Smith dinner tonight, maybe they should recruit Cardinal Dolan to moderate? He managed to cover both the R and D conventions, and host Obama and Romney, and to address both at tonight’s dinner.

Yeah, it’s biased, but having people step in for him doesn’t really make Obama look that good either, in fact, it makes him look pretty weak.

From what I understand the Dems won’t show up to debate with a conservative moderator. So in order to have the debates at all, our side has to compromise on the least LW hack in order for the debates to go on.

Michael Moore, maybe?

The Commission on Presidential Debates chooses the moderators.

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-57492037-503544/schieffer-crowley-lehrer-to-moderate-presidential-debates/

Any spineless Republicans in the Commission on Presidential Debates who agreed to let Crowley moderate should be replaced as soon as possible.

While it's great that we have a Republican candidate who can single-handedly win a debate against an opponent, a moderator, and a crowd, most of our candidates are not so gifted. Nor should they have to be.

Isn’t Schieffer the same guy that drilled Herman Cain for having an adviser that smokes?

... but then did a monologue praising Obama for smoking in private.

His next line was better.
Romney: “Tomorrow morning’s headlines will read; Obama embraced by Catholics; Romney has dinner with rich people!”
