Republicans are bracing themselves for Gloria Allred to make a potentially damaging revelation about Mitt Romney, just weeks before the election.
The pro-President Obama lawyer is rumoured to be preparing for her so-called 'October surprise' in which she will strike the Republican presidential hopeful's chances by unearthing some sort of secret or scandal.
Ms Allred has refused to comment on the rumours, which first surfaced in a tweet by the Drudge Report's Matt Drudge on Thursday. 'Here she comes. Hearing Gloria Allred out there again, about to make a move. After all, it's her time of the campaign. Team O at the ready!!' Mr Drudge wrote on Twitter.
According to RadarOnline.com, Ms Allred launched a last minute strike on GOP Meg Whitman's campaign for governor of California by representing a disgruntled former housekeeper. In the pivotal moments of the campaign, the lawyer wheeled out Nicky Diaz who alleged that she was fired by the Whitman family because she was an illegal immigrant.
Whitman went on to lose the election to Democrat Jerry Brown. Ms Allred refused to confirm or deny the rumours regarding Governor Romney.

In this case, I don’t think so. If you read the case, the woman would have likely died and she had other children who needed her alive. If I had the condition she did, I would have had the abortion. She had a large blood clot in her abdomen and the doctor thought it would kill her unless she aborted. There are rare cases where the mother is almost certain to die unless the fetus is aborted.

I believe you might be right on this one...just read the entire thing - Allred jumps at this stuff and uses these women to hang others.
Synopsis: Mitt pulls for unborn child, while mother has medical issues, she is advised to and wants to terminate - claims Mitt was uncaring and insisted she continue the pregnancy - anyway.
The story quotes a close friend who knows Mitt and this person happens to be a 'Social Democrat' - smells like hit piece to me and may backfire.
It might get Obama's base riled up, but I think it will show he is more pro-life than not.

My experience is that people who actually do have last-minute-surprise caliber stuff on their opponents don’t brag about it beforehand, they just drop in into the news. Also, they actually do it at, you know, the last minute. Gloria is blowing smoke out her behind.
Remember with Whitman it was a woman who worked for her who was an illegal alien which she fired when she discovered her status. Whitman had done nothing wrong but the charges the way Allrad made them and a helpful press did a real job on Whitman at the last minute.
...They dont have to be true, just scandalous. Making outrageous claims and allegations a week before the election would get national coverage, wall-to-wall 24/7. All she has to do is make them.

Women are such a problem. They become members of a church and then want to change the rules. Those women had the choice of abiding by the rules, or leave. Romney was only doing his “job” according to the church guidelines.
