Is anyone else seeing this issue or has the spell check functionality deemed that any word that has more than ONE character is spelled wrong?
I’ve had that happen a few times in the last week or so.
I don’t use it, I just let my Firefox tell me if I spell something wrong.
Are you signed in?
Had this happen 10-12 times over the years (12).
Just click back and click spell check again.
Happens to me when the site is slow or not really working. Hadn’t seen it in quite a while until last few days, in which have had it happen probably 6 or 8 times (I post a lot of threads). Have no idea what causes it. If you’ll look, there is no correction when you open it up, just the word that’s already there.
I don’t spell check. It ruiins the fluidity of thought.
Do you want me to spell correctly the wrong idea or incorrectly spell the correct idea?
If you don’t skate on thin ice you can’t see the fish.

My Samsung 10.1 Tab keeps spell checking in that British version of English. I know it’s still used in some areas. But there aren’t nearly as many British word users, as there are users of American English.
Not even close. Just a quirk on that Samsung unless i missed a setting.
Glad to know it's a system problem.
What if you just stand there and look down? |
FR has a self-posting feature as well as spell-check?
Then you meet the fish.

Yes.
I sea u r anuther graduite of the Evelyn Woodhead Sped Reedin Korse.
It has been doing that to me when there is an apostrophe in the post.
Yep, did it just now with “there’s” but not when typing “there is”.
FR’s spellchecker blows.
Sorry but it is true.
An awful lot of malcontents around here lately; and now even Barak, who famously can only spell, “I” correctly, complaining about our spell-checker.
Get thee hence, Evil One!

It has done that to me, upon rare occasions, but not recently. Reloading usually cleared it up.
Now, since I have a built in spell checker in my browser, I only use the FR spell-check to add HTML tags to links when I’m feeling lazy, by purposely misspelling a word, then hitting “apply corrections”...assuming I remembered that that only works when there’s no HTML tags already in the post.
Yup!..many times recently...do a back hit and it fixes itself...the only problem with that is...it puts us on the CIA terrorist list..They think we mean what we say....*W*
