I saw quite a few threads commenting on how slow the website has been. I have seen a big improvement in the last 4 or 5 days. Something has changed for the better and I think deserves a thread for people to comment. Thanks to Jim Robinson for all you do to help us connect.
I’ve had more luck getting into the main page. But it has still been very slow loading threads and, especially, posting replies or getting into Mail.
It’s working OK now, but I suspect that’s because most Freepers are elsewhere at the moment.
Some Freepers have said that the problem may not be FR alone, but that there are problems getting to FR through the net. I’m wondering if they’ve set up something in the Chicago hub to discombobulate FR connections? Whatever it is, it doesn’t seem to bother Drudge, who is another major enemy of Obamster. I’m surprised they haven’t done more to take Drudge down.
Well, now that it’s 1:30 am, FR’s doing fine, but during the day, it’s FRustrating as ever trying to get through, and when I go to:

I get the message “looks down from here, too”..
In the twelve years I’ve been here, I don’t ever remember FR having this many problems for so long.
FR is still my “home”, but like many others here, the inability to acess the site certainly has caused me to try other sites that have less performance problems..
Not sure if it’s a serious case of Electile Dysfunction or what, but I wish it would get fixed.
