$35 to Join the NRA for 1 year. I just did it.

Allowed my NRA membership to expire a few years back. Got a little irritated with them over a few issues.

I joined up again today.

We have to fight the communists PLUS the morons like Marg Helgenberger and even a few well-meaning hand wringers.

Oh, and the media.

I'll stand with the NRA.

I encourage the rest of us to do the same. $35 is not a lot of money.

I want to re-up too but hope they don’t bend me over when they have their big news conference...

Not interested. They haven’t come close to doing what they should have politically and we’re in even more trouble now.

I'm a life member of the GOA.

I've had an anual NRA membership before.

I'll see what they come out with at their major announcement on Friday. If it is pro-second amendment, I'll purchase a membership.

Whatever - pick your favorite RKBA organization and send money. Or, just keep bitching about the NRA and see where that gets us.

Regardless of which organization you join, NRA or GOA, join one or both. Gun owners need to get vocal and exercise our considerable economic power against businesses that spit on our rights.

Letters to the editor, physical and online, letters, emails, and calls to our congresscritters, municipal meetings and such all need to be used.

The time for live and let live (so to speak) is over. We need to find a method for holding persons who attack our rights accountable. Whether that is politically or economically I really don’t have a preference.

We need to use any method that will work IMO.

As a political organization the NRA has long demonstrated its willingness to ‘compromise’. I’m not compromising any more of my rights.

LOL...GOA was a non-entity around here last year because they ranked Santorum higher than Newt.

Disliking the NRA is fine, but now is not the time to not support them.

A principled stand against an unprincipled enemy, by attacking the largest organization of gun owners in the nation, will lead to total political defeat and loss of our rights.

Attacking or bad-mouthing, the NRA weakens our voice with the politicians. It gives them the idea that we are not unified and therefore can be ignored.

If you cannot support the NRA then get vocal through whatever organization you do belong to. We need to show a unified front as much as possible.

You know that the NRA gives money to Democrats, right?

When it comes time to choose between NRA interests and advancing the Liberal agenda, who do you think these Democrats will side with?

Sounds like we need another march on Washington. We need more than 5000 of us to show up this time. We also need to ban “Gun Free Zones”. Most of the gun control make me feel good idiots with laws that do not work will not put these signs in their yard so why would they put them where our kids go to school. That sign did not deter that psyco path the other day.

“Time for all to step forward.”

From the estimates that I have heard that there are 80 to 100 million gun owners in America, the fact that there are only about 4.5 to 5 million that support gun advocacy groups disappoints me. If our rights are eroded its the gun owner not the groups that have allowed it.

If 80 to 100 million gun owners belonged to gun groups you would not hear a peep out of these politicians.

For the $35 you also receive a ton of junk mail about twice a week from the NRA asking for more money they seem to spend allot on trying to get into you wallet. It has to be costing a small fortune for the mail outs and printing.Maybe they can cut out the junk mail and have enough without asking for more more more.
