Favorite Beverages of our Freepers??

Posted on 01/01/2013 11:15:42 AM PST by SamAdams76

I have often wondered what preferences of beverages the various Freepers have, in particular, the kind of intoxicating liquors they tried to ban back in 1920. I know by reading stories on here that many of us consume intoxicating liquors from time to time and we may even have some Freepers who have accumulated some POIs over the years (posting under the influence). Obviously, don't post your favorite intoxicating liquor if you do not want to, but I just thought it would be interesting to see our beverage choices. Especially the morning after many of us quite possibly overindulged on same the night before...wait, is it afternoon already? Darn. Having breakfast at 1PM always throws me off my game.

If you don't drink intoxicating liquors at all, feel free to tell us what beverages you do drink. Milk, apple juice, sarsaparilla? Your reply might be boring to us but let us know anyhow if you feel so inclined to share.

In response to all the other nutty threads here today seeking personal information on Freepers, I am 50, have brown hair, hazel eyes, weigh 225 pounds and I prefer female company. My waist size is 40, my shoe size is 12 and yes, I do need to keep an eye on my blood pressure. I own a dog, a cat and no, I do not snore. As for intoxicating liquors, I prefer madeira wine, Samuel Adams seasonals, Frangelico hazelnut liqueur, 100% agave tequila and the occasional bottle of champagne. But preferably not all together at the same time as what happened last night. As of this moment my favorite beverage is Gatorade.

Here in south central PA we don’t even see Genessee beer. Is that company still in operation? In a former life, in 1962, while attending IBM School in Endicott, NY our classes were held from 3:00 to 11:00 PM.

After class we ALWAYS went out for some relaxing libation, which usually was Genny because of the locale. It wasn’t bad at all.

I also found it cutely quaint when some ladies we met from the Buffalo area referred to PIZZA as “Hot Tomato Pie.”

But our Lord says to love them, and pray for them. I haven’t got that far because I want them to burn in hell, where they belong.

I’ve been in AZ since the mid 90s so I dunno what’s up with Genny. I have heard it’s both bankrupt and booming...who knows?

It was the National Beer of the Adirondack Tri-Lakes region when I lived there though ;)

I like the Bombay sapphire, too. Usually only in the summer, though.

The rest of the year I like Edna Valley chardonnay.

Jesus is perfect. I am not. I say to hell with our enemies. That’s WHY they are called enemies.

I don’t think God would want us praying to benefit or support evil. And I am more than willing to bet my soul o it.

I LOVE Dr.Pepper. As well as the orange soda, something burst and grape soda, I believe to be Welsh’s.

I don’t drink soda very often. However when I do, it’s a matter of choosing between the 3 I have stated above.

Vernor’s is in Florida now? I remember when it (and Boston Coolers - named after the street in Detroit) were only in Michigan.

When I opt for something a little less than bourbon, dark beers are good. Porters and Stouts are awesome. Opaque is a must. I've tried this one recently. Good stuff.

Maybe not benefit and support evil, but try to change their ways?

People at work think I’m a “Jesus freak”. Fine with me. But what if I could just touch 1 soul. What if just 1 soul would turn to Christ because of my “blathering”?
