Michael Savage: Don't trust feds on flu shot
World Net Daily ^ | 1-14-13 | Michael Savage

Posted on 01/14/2013 7:09:47 PM PST by dynachrome

Asking listeners to put aside his political orientation for a moment, talk-radio host Michael Savage questioned the federal government’s recommendation that citizens get a flu shot.

“Did Harry Reid take a flu shot? Did Barack Obama take a flu shot? Did Barack Obama’s lovely family take a flu shot? Did Joe Biden take a flu shot?” Savage asked.

“Which of the mandarins took the flu shot?”

He explained that he was talking specifically about vaccines and was not advocating the avoidance of all pharmaceuticals.

Known for his many books on herbal medicines, Savage acknowledged he has benefited from “an awful lot of life-saving regular medicines.”

“The Flu vaccine?” he asked. “No, I wouldn’t take it.”

Savage noted “not everything your government tells you is true.”

No. They think Polio was a myth. They are so stupid it’s not even worth engaging with them.

The polio epidemic of the 1950s was directly caused by Cutter Labratory’s Salk vaccine.

The vector perfectly tracked the administration of the vaccine, temporally, and geographically.

Is this your idea of humor?

I would not take it

When I hear so-called “experts” claim that the shot does not make you sick....I say BS....you get sick from it. And, you can make others sick from your shot, too

The vaccine is dead flu virus....whether the virus is alive or dead, the body will produce antibodies to fight the infection...thus it can make you sick...and make others around you sick...since you will be spreading the dead virus around.

Also, the flu shot is only good for a few of the various strains of flu....you can still get the flu from another variation of the flu.

According to medical folks around here - the tri-vaccicne (three different flu strains) missed the target for the most common strain.

Two years ago I got the flu shot. The next day I had intense pain in the same shoulder where the shot was admiintered. Over the next week the pain mostly went away, but the muscles in the shoulder and that arm, began to atrophy. A trip to the MDs revealed that I had Brachial Plexis Neuritis. Within two weeks the muscles in that arm were useless and I could not even pick up a gallon of milk with that arm. A search of flu shot and brachial neuritis on the internet, found thousands of people who had the same reaction that I did. Three months of physical therapy got my arm and shoulders muscles to near where they were before the shot, and eventually the muscles came all the way back.
I no longer get flu shots.
Search flu shot and brachial neuritis these days, and amongst the first dozen results are Law firms that will sue the flu manufacturer if you get brachial neuritis from the shot. Some claim success in such lawsuits.
Most people pretty much fully recover from the disease. Others have to live with weakness in the arm for many years or forever.

My mother got the flu shot this year and she’s been very sick for over a week now. She told me she has never been so sick for so long in her life. I didn’t get the flu shot and I came down with the flu two days ago. The symptoms haven’t been too bad and I’m starting to feel better going into the third day. I guess it comes down to the individuals personal preference.

I was reading a book on which foods are good to help against various chronic conditions like hypertension. I was looking at having to take additional meds.

So I started eating foods that are known to help reduce the chances of hypertension, stroke, and heart disease. Was able to get BP back to better numbers than for 20 years.

The book also noted the results of vit d3 and colds, flu various other diseases, so I started the supplements. I believe a lot of our health problems are related to poor nutrition.

I have reduced the amount of processed foods in my diet too. Whatever I eat, I try to make sure it has some redeeming value. Like wine and chocolate - a small treat, that is pure indulgence but still is supposed to have a benefit. LOL.

I am glad you have never had a problem, but I would advise against getting a flu shot. The vaccines are generally given intra-muscularly and do not promote the proper type of immune response. Plus, they frequently do not immunize against the strain du jour.

Hubby and i got the shots in October. We got SOOO ill before Christmas, and it lingers still to a lesser extent. I believer there are different strains and whether or not you get the correct shot is just a crap shoot.

In pior years, we took the shots and escaped the flu.

I don’t think that a flu shot’s gonna hurt you but I heard the strain that’s killing people wasn’t one that is covered by this year’s vaccine.....I heard the same thing from a Dr. on a local radio program who ended his interview with”But you should still get your vaccine”. WTF? If it’s not effective, why? As far as it’s not going to hurt you, did you know MORE people died from the Swine Flu vaccine than from the Swine Flu about six years ago?
