This week's mentor is Smokey Robinson. He says Candace's last performance made him cry.
Her choice this week is "I Heard It Through The Grapevine". It's fine. But it sounds pretty standard.
She gets all growly at the end of it.
Keith: You raise the bar exponentially. You lifted it up and powered it up. I never feel like you overpowered it. Love watching you come into yourself.
Minaj: How are you, Candy girl? You do a great job of not over-doing it. Rocky type of bluesy thing. Good for people to see that side of you. Good job.
Randy: So comfortable. You believe you belong in this competition. Amazing job. Effortless. Crazy good.
Mariah: In a lot of ways you epitomize what that competition is. Bluesy, churchy voice.
Up next a country twist on Madaonna....(that means they will be wearing clothing, AND singing “Like a virgin, Y’All”
Did he just say a “country twist on Madonna?”......if so, that is a disaster in the making....

Mrs S is out of town and I’m home alone unsupervised.
Normally, almost always, I DVR and skip all the commercials but decided to
watch live with you all but man I hate commercials. It’s kind of shocking
when you never watch them.
After a few of the tinkerbells sing, you will be praying for a commercial.........(but given this channel, even the commercials are pushing the ‘Todays the day to be gay” mantra.......and Im not buying what they are sellin!
Normally we love Kree and Blondie but this kinda underwhelming.
Nikki always speaks like she’s got a horrifying amount of beans shoved up into her sinus cavities.

I so agree-Nikki has this annoying nasal tone to her voice-she drives me nuts. Kind of like that fingernails on chalkboard sensation.
