Any song that originated from a Detroit artist is okay for Motown Week, so the girls turn Madonna's "Like A Prayer" into a Country tune.
It's okay. Weird to hear a twang on this song.
Minaj: I'm so proud of you. So excited. Can't believe two of my favorite girls did a song together. Miss Kreedom looked like she flew in to do a duet with an Idol contestant. (Kree looks embarrassed and hurt; Janelle forces a smile) Your voice sounded like nothing in the world. Janelle, Kree definitely outshined you, my darling.
Randy: Janelle, usually you're on pitch more than you were tonight. It is true. Kree outshined you.
Mariah: I don't know if there's enough time to pick this apart. This was a sisterhood moment. The pitch was a little sketchy. It wasn't written as this big singing song. Both of you were very very good.
Keith: It worked really well. It feels silly to say one was better than the other because you're not a duo. I'm glad you had each other's back in that lyric-slip moment.
And why are the judges critiquing all these duets? It’s going to take forever to get through this show...
