I hate the affirmative action aspect of ALL reality shows.

JIMMY IOVINE QUITS AMERICAN IDOL
Jimmy Iovine, who both advises and critiques the contestants on American Idol, was believed tonight to have quit the FOX hit show, in disgust that Lazaro Arbas, whom Iovine had said deserved to go home for the last two weeks, was instead picked by the fans to be in the "top three" this week.
Iovine was seen muttering to himself, and banging his head against the wall of his trailer, obviously in shock at the results. Stay tuned...

Agree that having him placed that highly is a travesty to obviously better performers and hurts the show overall.
No Judge had him in their top 3 , nor did Jimmy O.
Vote for the Worst, or the unearned sympathy vote must be keeping him in this.
The coming weeks will tell.
In the meantime I’ll watch to enjoy this thread and the comments.

This just goes to show how hollow the judges “ at your concert, when you make your record, radio ready “ etc. etc. comments are.
if they are that good we would remember them.

I would rather have kept Burnell than that overprivileged brat Lazaro, who thinks the world owes him a living and pouts whenever he gets reprimanded by Iovine.
Burnell is cute and funny and who knows? Maybe he will get on a sit-com. The girls sure will miss him, because now all they have left is that Carmen Miranda fruit basket.

Got back from our trip last night and watched the performance show. And I was wondering if any of my fellow freeperettes thought that same thing? Does he stutter because his blood flow is pulled down below his waist?
Why then don’t they just have him sing something he knows like, “Babalu” or “Cuban Pete.”
