FORT MYERS, Fla. - A 16-year-old Cypress Lake High School student, who wrestled a loaded revolver away from a teen threatening to shoot, is being punished.

The student grappled the gun away from the 15-year-old suspect on the bus ride home Tuesday after witnesses say he aimed the weapon point blank at another student and threatened to shoot him.

The student, who Fox 4 has agreed not to identify because he fears for his safety, says there's "no doubt" he saved a life by disarming the gunman. And for that he was suspended for three days.

There is one thing that makes me more sick than liberal teachers and administrators in our schools. That would be the gutless, spineless, impotent, so-called conservative teachers and administrators that don’t do anything.

We’ve reached the point where you can only legally be the victim.

Sounds like some school administrators need a good dose of public humiliation and unemployment...We as Americana need to fire these people and anyone who protects them

I will not be a Victim of “king O the First”. Where are the people that should stand up for the Hero that saved “X” number of kids? Who is speaking out against the school officials?

If you loved the freedom and liberty you had as an American, THANK A VETERAN. If you miss it a year from now, thank the assholes who voted for Obama.”

Now now, be reasonable. Did he or did he not actually touch the gun as he took it away from the would be shooter or not?

Some years ago, when my boys were in Jr High, you could not defend yourself in a fight. If you did, both were suspended for fighting.

The ‘proper’ defense response was to curl up in a fetal position and call for a teacher.

According to the 1984 schools;

Here you go: The School.

It's a totally lame site.

Here's contact info for the school board and superintendent.

Sounds like some school administrators need a good dose of public humiliation and unemployment...

They need to be dragged out onto the football field so that the townspeople can take turns slapping the piss out of them!

This is one of the stupidest, most outrageous things I've ever heard of! This kid put himself in jeopardy TO DO THE RIGHT THING and SAVE A LIFE, and this is the recognition he gets?!? Damn those administrators to hell!!

Parents should demand the principal’s resignation and any school board member who doesn’t agree will be voted out of office. Enough of this. If I were those boys’ teacher, they’d be getting a 100 for every day they’re on suspension.

If anyone bothers to read the article, they’ll learn that the teen wasn’t suspended for disarming another student. He was suspended for refusing to participate in the investigation of this incident. No snitching, you know...
