Just saw her recently in a 1956 episode of “West Point Story” (the tv-series just came out on dvd). Must have been one of her first gigs. I’ve always liked Eden. Very fetching. Her eyes and facial features always seemed geared more towards vampish roles, but her friendly/bubbly personality seemed to completely override all that, and veered her in the opposite direction and role types. Made her rather unique.

I once did a job for the guy who played the dad on ‘Happy Days’. Barbara Eden lived across the street from him, but I never caught a glimpse of her.
It was the heartbreak of a lifetime...

She looks amazing for 78!

I literally ran into Barbara Eden coming off an elevator at the original MGM in Vegas in 1976. She giggled as I stammered an apology when I recognized her. Tiny but drop dead gorgeous.

She looks great and what a wonderful smile! She's clearly enjoying life.
Had to laugh at one of the photo captions: "The show's premise involved a 2,000-year-old genie being rescued by an astronaut (Larry Hagman), who rubs her bottle after crash landing his shuttle on a beach." The The Shuttle was originally presented to the public in 1972. The show ran 1965 to 1970. The caption writer sure didn't do any basic checking. Even Wikipedia gets it right: "Captain Tony Nelson, US Air Force, is on a space flight when his one-man capsule Stardust One..."
Of course, Project Gemini occurred in 1965 - 1966 and used a two-man capsule, so the show was actually behind the times. But it didn't read about a "shuttle" in it's crystal ball. Besides, NASA originally called it a "space truck" in the 60s.
Sheesh, my age is showing!

hot she was and hot she remains

Does anyone remember her first appearance in the movie (predated the series) Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (Walter Pigeon and a very aged and morphine addict fat Peter Lorie were in the cast)? It was a five second close up of her bottom as she danced the twist. Made quite an impression on a young mind.

Good on her! She looks a whole lot better than some old coot (who shall remain nameless) who tried to get back in his racing leathers last year.

She's still beautiful and classy.

In my “work” days, I had a chance to meet this lady and give her a tour of an historic plantation. Thankfully, I have a picture to confirm my memories...she’s for real!

When I was in high school, a buddy broke his arm. He went to see a show she was doing in one of the downtown casinos, Harrahs? When she noticed his arm, she had him brought back into her dressing room and signed his cast.
The guy was so happy he probably still has that cast today!

Looking great at 78. I’d rank her right up there with Raquel as one of the all-time beauties.

Barbara Eden always has been something else.
Wow
