I think that if you are basing your perfect mate on his interaction with cats then you might be in for a big disappointment. Even bad people can like cats.

From the male perspective. I don’t mind a cat or two. But I have known a few dingy women who have so many cats that all common sense and other priorities go out the window. The cats become more important to them than people. Everything needs to be kept in its proper perspective.

I have a cat because it was a stray who chose me. I take good care of her and give her a lot of attention. But I would not want more than one. A good dog actually offers a lot more in return.

My catz serve as early alert for me. I'm hearing impaired, and when I see the catz scoot for cover, I go answer the door, even if I didn't hear the knock. They are also entertaining, prewarm the bed for me in the winter, and keep away certain annoying people that are allergic to catz. ;)

Men who like cats and read/post here are wonderful

I am sure each and every one of them would be the kind of guy you would be proud to take home to your dad.

Keep in mind this is a subset of all men who love cats. The ones I’ve met here seem to be very nice, good salt of the earth family men.

And as for slings, can anyone say anything bad about the dude? Yay for the kitty ping list!!!!

BTW, do you ever stop to think that if these critters were about 30 pounds bigger, we'd be lunch? Every time I watch a NatGeo show on large cats, I think that (said llevrok as he tries to get the thread back on track....)

To put it bluntly, a man who dislikes cats may be a man who dislikes gays. Both are fearful of what the feline/homosexual represent in themselves, which they are not at terms with and reject. The man who loves cats is in touch with and accepts all aspects of his being –- even those that might be viewed as “feminine.”

I find this all to be a load of crap. I have suspected a hatred of cats to be a repressed hatred of women, but that is a wild guess.

OTOH, this BS about being "evolvled" is an absolute knee-slapper. I am repulsed by homos. I do not accept anything about them other than that they are mentally ill and should be regarded as such.
