Less than a month after Will Smith’s “After Earth” crashed at the box office, Sony finds itself in another predicament with Roland Emmerich’s “White House Down.”
The $150 million action thriller, starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx, is the studio’s most expensive film of the summer but may debut as poorly as fourth place this weekend with a projected $27 million.
Not only are the early estimates soft for a project Sony bought in a record spec deal for $3 million in 2012, it’s actually worse than this year’s other White House thriller, “Olympus Has Fallen,” which opened to $30.8 million for FilmDistrict on a much smaller budget ($70 million).

Thrillers and scifi are supposed to be tales which present the audience an altered reality.
The problem is that the White House has been deep in the sh*t for more than four years, with very little more that can be done, so these films are actually more in the vein of documentaries than anything else.
Disaster flicks aren’t any fun when the disaster has actually already occurred.
You’re not getting it and neither is Sony. Once a lot of us would have paid to see jamie foxx AND especially wil smith. Then we found out that jamie foxx is an effing racist, leftist scum, and wil smith is one of obama’s biggest bundlers, The hell with that.

I heard its another remake of Die Hard without Bruse Willis. In this one Obama is a macho President (Ha ha) like the guy in Air Force One film long ago. He saves the day—Another Hollywood attempt to continue the Fantasy that Obama is a he man. too bad he isn’t—the actor playing Obama would be a better President than him! Bruce Willis would be a better President!

All purchases are political. If the movie is made by a leftist or has a leftist message, I will not see it. America is in too much trouble today for me to voluntarily fund our enemies.
I once saw Foxx being interviewed on BET by some pale-skinned, semi-black reporter. And Foxx was hitting on him, making all kinds of not-too-subtle comments about his looks. And I thought, “I didn’t know Jamie Foxx was gay.”
They do that frequently. Antz and A Bug’s Life came out around the same time.
I actually do these days. I am tired of the propaganda against the right and no longer support those who are constantly telling me I am evil because I believe in the principles this country was founded on.
You go to a movie to enjoy it not worry about some politics.
I also have no wish to pay to watch my beliefs being trashed when the movie could have been made so all could enjoy. They made a choice to spew their propaganda I made a choice not to buy it.
Good grief. Conservatives never make movies but sure do complain. Oh that is right. They made the biggest bomb in the history of movie making. An American Carol.....I would go see anything compared to that crap. I want conservatives to make good movies. I really do....but they don’t have the ability too for some reason.

Hey FREEPERS, if you want to see a white President of the United States in entertainment, you should check out Scandal. It will be so great to see President Bush as the President of the United States in that show. It is heading into it’s third season in September. I am sure that you can catch up with the first two seasons on Amazon Instant Video. That should make you all happy!!!!!! lol.
