Overtinging and projecting...

Katz don’t cahr whut you think and are deceivers.

You never know what whutz going on their lil mouse chasin heads until they slap you with their tiny little golved paws, throwing themselves on the ground demanding you scrub their bellies, until they are sick of your syllabic and pathetic obeisance since they don’t posses a ring finger for you to kiss and will never present their azz to you for a kiss.

You..are a courtesan....

I hoped to learn what my cat is trying to tell me when she walks a zigzag pattern close to and in front of my feet. All I can think of is that she’s trying to trip me.

Adorable video! A beautiful and very skinny calico cat showed up on my doorstep 2 days ago. The cat was VERY hungry, so we (my 15 year old daughter and myself) bought dry cat food for it and fed it. It is a very friendly and affectionate cat. We have not let it in (we live in the country on a relatively safe road as far as traffic).

Any recommendations from cat savvy freepers? we have never had a cat. I looked up calico and they are almost always female.

The cat is exhibiting all of the friendly behaviors in the video - the tail up on approach, the rubbing, etc.

Like you, we never had a cat for a pet until we got our tabby 5 years ago. Prior to that I was a cat hater, dog lover. Whatever cat wondered into our live trap was shot. I always thought of cats as deceptive people hating loners that only hang around for food.

Was I ever wrong!

I’ve found cats to be very loyal, very attached to humans, very affectionate, very attention demanding and extremely smart. I wish I would have figured this out years ago.

IMO there are 3 kinds of cats:

1. What I call the woods cat, the wild ones born in the woods, fearful of humans and if caught will scratch and bite.

2. The house cat, lives in the house, seldom goes outdoors, has a indoor litter box and behaves as I described in the beginning.

3. The outdoors cat, stays primarily outdoors, is usually kept for mousing, may be not at all friendly to humans or could somewhat affectionate depending on how they are treated as kittens. If mommy keeps them hidden from humans they could be more like the wild ones and come around for food only.

Racoons, hawks and coyotes are known to kill out outdoor cats.

All the info I have on cats is that they think you are leaving and they are trying to stop you when they walk in front of you like that. One of my cats ran in front of me when I was going out the front door, tripped me and caused me to break a finger. Didn't work though, I still had to leave:)

The zigzag pattern is to make sure you stay behind them. This way they can lead you to their approved destination. If you try to speed past them to a different destination you will be tripped & fall.

Thanks for the feedback/info, especially about the raccoons and coyotes as we have “coydogs” in the area.

I think you just have been adopted by a kitteh

Yay!!!!!!

I can’t tell you what to do. If it was me. I would take kitty to vet to make sure it doesn’t belong to someone else. There might be s microchip in her, Ir not, the vet will then discuss how much it will cost to give kitty shots etc, and if you want to adopt her as your own kitty.

I hope this helped. I know if my girl got out I would hope someone kind would find her because of the chip. I can’t imagine life without a cat. I hope everything works out and thank you for feeding a hungry cat.
