The charge is a felony because the Cassidy has a 2011 conviction for driving under the influence in Florida.

This is not directed at you but rather the OP who's comment was pulled.

How can one previous DWI elevate the 2nd to a felony?

Once (if) convicted he is branded for life and loses his 2nd Amendment rights....see any pattern here?

You all who are exhibiting schadenfreude should remember, it could happen to you too.

Have a couple of drinks while out to dinner, accidently commit a traffic infraction, have a smell of alcohol on your breath....yer history. COPS lie to justify their arrests. Even if you win the court case you will be out thousands of dollars.

Thing is, when it happens to you it'll be different....right?

And no, I'm not advocating drunk driving, I'm pointing out the envy here.

Yep, IIRC, she maintains some kind of resort or something in Big Bear California.

Omg did kfi am 640 in la have me laughing behind the wheel with this story! They played “what’s new pussycat” and then said that this is what David Cassidy said to the officer who pulled him over for drunk driving. I thought, whoa, how blasted was the old teen heart throb?? But then they said he only blew a .1 and that.. The officers name was Tom jones!!! A actually, I think that is pretty funny!!

I was in Las Vegas a few years ago and on an extremely hot day saw emergency personnel tend to a lady who had one too many adult cocktails while in the sun. As I avoided commotion, I saw Engelbert Humperdinck and told him he was still knocking out the babes. I think he smiled. :-)
