I’ve heard people say of the Pauls, they are actually States Rights, Constitutionalists in fact, vs. being Libertarians. Though Same Sex Marriage should be illegal in the whole USA, it’d be better for it to be legal some places, illegal where people vote against it, rather than the SCOTUS pushing it on all of us, that’s for sure. As it is, the gay marriage states are only about 13 or so. The pro-(Trad) Marriage states are about 35.

In real life we all know that isn't the way it works, with gay marriage already legal in 13 states or whatever, and legal in the military and FBI and federal employment and immigration, then it will be legal in all states.

A few states are not going to become islands that do not recognize marriages of federal employees and people who move into their state and of the military, the best that could be hoped for is that they don't have to PERFORM them, but there will not be islands in America where families are not legally families.

If the Federal Government actually lived by the Constitution, these issues would be moot.

LIFE.

Liberty.

The pursuit of Happiness.

Rights, endowed by their Creator.

The federal government can only defend LIFE and as a result should be anti-abortion.

Liberty, falls into the rule of law with and only with “Contracts” and property rights.

If someones “pursuit of happiness” violates someone else’s life or violates their freedom then the the Government needs to establish rules. This is where things get really messed up. A factory may be free to dump toxic waste down river as long as nobody complained. When some folks rightfully complained, since it violated their life and livelihood, we moved into a world of Government regulations.

This has been the impetus for a redefinition of what violates someones life or their ability to pursue happiness.

Cause and effect.

As a result we have politicians on both sides that have lost all sense of the “Free market” and are bending over backwards to “protect” stupid people.

Not with well over half the states rejecting so-called gay marriage by the vote of the people, I sure don’t see gay marriage becoming the law at all. It’s really more like an extreme minority of states that have gay marriages. New England/New York, Minnesota, Iowa, Washington and forced on California. Not too many.

Why am I not surprised Beck believes a couple of turd pokers should be able to get "married"?

Homos want one thing - - to jam a thumb in the eye of normal people. Never forget that.
It's what their whole gay "marriage" tantrum is about.

There's a reason kids today use phrases like, "That's so gay," as a deragatory comment. It has nothing to do with their upbringing or home environment, and is actually in direct contradiction to what the government schools relentlessly try to beat into them. Even the constant efforts of the decadent movie / television / newsroom culture to "normalize" homosexuality fall miserably short when it comes to children.

That is because kids understand naturally - - instinctively - - that there is just something sick about a man pushing his penis into another man's anus full of turd. It's one of those things nobody needs to teach, and it is why homosexuals instinctively feel ashamed of what they are and what they do, and why they suffer the tears of a clown even as they march with fake smiles in fake "pride" parades. In psychology parlance, a "gay pride parade" is known as a "hall of mirrors".

The fantasy revealed, in the meantime back here in reality, join conservatives in our fight against the homosexual agenda and abortion.

By the way, you keep ignoring that the Continental Congress and then congress, passed legislation for federal marriage benefits in 1780 and kept updating it in 1794, 1798, 1802, and on.

All states will come to recognize it, just as they all recognize each others marriages now, and the federal employees, the military, and immigrants all can have legal gay marriage as well.

Remember that they don't have to "perform" the marriage, they just can't tell people and parents that they aren't married when they move there, or get transferred there.

States have a long history of regulating marriages, those “cousins marriages” and the like. I don’t think even the Feds can usurp the wishes of those people in places like Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi and impose same-sex marriage on the land. And some places SSM exists was forced on by the court as in Iowa with a few other places done by the legislatures of the state, so I don’t really see it as being popular. It’s been a movement that has used all kinds of tricks and deep pockets as well to force it on the public.

Yeah, you already said that, federal and military marriages, well that ain’t going to cut it in North Carolina and Mississippi. I think the SCOTUS knows that.

Yes it will cut it, do you really think that North Carolina will get away refusing to recognize marriages and family relationships, pretending that they don’t exist when people enter contracts, and die in car wrecks on their roads and enroll children in school, and divorce and testify in court and all the countless things that they will have to recognize?

The rest of the United States does not have to obey an artificial definition of marriage, a made up definition. There is only one form of marriage, between 1 man and 1 woman.

The Mormons learned that. The Mormons had their families too.

With all due respect, it is interesting how here we seem to have a scenario where someone is asserting the Federal Government is going to make this so everyone has to recognize gay marriages. No, with all due respect, I don’t think the SCOTUS will do that despite some of the far leftist judges we currently have.

That was a long time ago, and a different country, today there will not be islands where you are in legal jeopardy or limbo traveling to, through or being sent to, or being stationed in, because they don’t recognize you as married and parents.

If this is the hope you are clinging to, then you have quite a fantasy life.

Besides, even that fantasy is pretty slim pickings when gay marriage is the norm in the media, the government, the military, California and New York and Hollywood and the daily news, the hit songs, the children’s shows, the textbooks and in a new state, every few months or every year or two.

Who is asserting that the federal government is making this so that everyone has to recognize gay marriage?

The weight of them legalizing it for the Americans of all 50 states in the military and in federal employment and in immigration will carry massive weight and push tremendous pressure on states with those people living there and stationed there, but that is a fact of life.

Do you really believe that recognizing gay marriage will be forever prevented by some states, that your grand kids will still be talking about how risky it is for some married people to move to NC, or even to travel through it, or that business and the government can’t transfer employees there, or station them there? Is that what you imagine 2030 to look like?
