Interesting tag line you have.

It actually says a lot about what you believe.

Libertarians, the left's social agenda with conservatism's economics, which is impossible of course

Libertarians, as a matter of principle, have no agenda.

Yes, the left has an agenda and may be using the libertarian masses to advance it. However and clearly something you recognize, it is impossible to have both the lefts social agenda and conservatives economics.

Economics has very little to do with math and money, it has everything to do with the study of human nature.

Conservative economics is all about free will, free markets and the invisible hand. This concept requires a great deal of trust and faith in individuals to act in accordance with a set of values that happen to belong to the Judeo/Christian tradition.

What I am suggesting is that while you accept the "impossibility" of the lefts social agenda and the "free market" of conservatism working together, which I agree with, you fail to give human nature a chance.

As a result, your posts/comments here, leave folks with a choice between a "conservative" rule making body or a "liberal" one. It's the "rule making" body that I have a problem with. Both create their own set of problems/restrictions, and while I would rather have a conservative one, the idea that I have to choose the lesser of two evils seems to have put us in this mess.

Politically, the current republican leaders are in a losing battle as they profess what they will do "to you" while democrats profess what they will do "for you".

A third option, libertarianism, fundamentally gets the government and authority out of the picture.

You are fighting a losing battle as the both major parties have become entrenched on the same side of telling people what is best for them.

Liberals own guns.

Liberals don't trust the government.

Liberals don't like being told what to do.

Unfortunately, too many liberals think their freedom and liberty rests with democrats.

Fundamentally, they just want to be left alone, just like most conservatives.

As far as Beck is concerned. I think he gets this. He trusts people and is not afraid to profess his Christianity while leaving individuals free to make their own mistakes along the way.

You could just listen to Beck himself by looking at the article.

He was interviewed by the New York Times magazine. They brought up his stance on gay marriage.

“How did your fans respond to your support of gay marriage?”

“I don’t care.”

You lefties/libertarians have won quite a few victories recently.

For instance the federal government no longer discriminates against homosexuals in the military or in immigration, or employment.

Way to go lefty, libertarian liberalism only creates more lefty voters for big and intrusive government, not to mention what it does to the quality of life and that it will destroy the military.

First of all, I’m a hard core Conservative.

I, unlike you, recognize the political landscape in which we are currently dealing with.

You cannot group true libertarians with the modern liberal. The reality is that “modern” liberals, real socialist or Statists, only represent around 25% of even the democrat party.

The balance of their party only vote democrat for two reasons. They are either clueless or clueless and scared. They fear any variety of things, from losing benefits to being seen by their peers as judgmental.

If you polled the 75% of the clueless democrat voters, I can assure you that they DO NOT WANT THE GOV’T TO CONTROL THEIR LIVES.

The fact is that the 75% of the clueless don’t “fight for” gays in the military.

They don’t fight for “gun control”

They don’t fight for “abortion”

They don’t fight for anything. They just show up and vote for democrats because they have bought the BS the media has feed them about Republicans.

Sadly, it’s the messenger that gets shot before they listen to the message.

Enter a Libertarian party and the messenger is safe to speak and the principles of getting the Government out of our lives has a chance to gain some traction.

Gays in the military was sanctioned by the Government even though “don’t ask, don’t tell” had been the operating rule well before the term was coined.

This didn’t happen because of libertarians, directly. This happened because the crazy minority in the democrat party used their influence with the media to guilt the clueless into silence.

Politically speaking, we need to re-take the middle before we can move to the right.

Yeah, you are just another pro-gay liberal that probably supports conservative economics.

How far left you are, you won't say, but you pretty much own up to the libertarian homosexual agenda, you probably support the rest of their leftist social agenda as well.
