Ison is a V shaped debris field with objects that are miles wide each..at least 21 large ones..
They are moving at 2 million miles per day.
Ison is moving away from "Secchi A" at that speed which makes it appear smaller from that camera each hour..
THE ROCKS ARE DARK NOW.
They will become darker as they move further from the sun over Earth..
They will not become smaller.

Question:

Does Ion gas glow on its own through static electricity or radiation given off and blown through space by stars?

Or does it only give off light by refection from stars?

I can remember before I retired out of "Eglin AFB/Duke Field " going out deep into the air-to-ground range, to get away from light, to view the March 21 -22, 1997 Comet Hale-Bopp.
It was in the wee hours of the morning after a swing shift.
It took about 15 or 20 minutes for me to naturally get my night vision going, buty the comet was huge, and covered about half the length of the night sky.
I laid on the hood of my truck on that very cold night until I couldn't take the cold any more.
As I was leaving the range, a range officer stopped me and asked me what I was doing out there at 3:30 am.
Not only did I tell him, but I took him out to where I had parked and waited until he got his night vision going, and he was surprised because he didn't even know it was passing.

I guess that's what started my interest in comets.

I've viewed it, and find it interesting enough, that I want to buy a book on all of Enoch's writings.
But until I read his writings myself, and think, about it for a while, I couldn;t give you an honest opinion.

I posted JPL Small-Body Database Browser, C/2012 S1 (ISON) Orbit Diagram ( Current ) more or less as a reference for myself to go back to and view again.
But mostly I was interested in WHERE between Earth and Venus that Comet Ison broke through our orbital plane.

Mostly I wanted to know how much "SPREAD" Ison's fragments would need to be a danger to Earth.
Your "quick off-the-top-of-the-head-estimate of about 37 MILLION miles" is what I thought, too.
Now how much of an angle from the back side of the Sun or before the backside of the Sun, during Isons breakup, would that distance require in the scattering of the "V" debris ?

But I haven't had time to work on it, yet.

Start at 1 minute and 17 seconds of that video and you'll see and hear him discuss it.
He called it "a crossfire" .

Surely you didn't get it wrong, intentionally, to SMEAR him?

And why choose to believe that that despite every other comet doing typical comet behavior the same way this one did hat there “must” be something different about it to be terrified of?

Geminids have nothing to do with Ison.
They come from 3200 Phaethon.
And their peak times are rather predictable.
And that Arizona fireball was a geminid.
Which is pretty typically seen this time of year.
And this Geminid shower had quite a few fireballs.
They’re from 3200 phaethon’s 2009 perihelion and shedding.

That is what I’m telling you.
How about actually trying to understand the basics of comets, asteroids, and meteor showers.
You keep mentioning the rather typical for post perihelion passage v shape of ison, then your source mentions the geminids in an attempt to imply that we are getting ison debris.
We are not.
Nor will we.
Ever.
Believe what you want, but when nothing kills us all in January will you apologize for the fear mongering?

It is spreading false information.
Spreading false information while refusing to so much as try to become conversant in the material is as bad as deliberately misleading people.
This same crap went the rounds with comet Elenin.
And nothing happened.
