One of the things that points most directly to Billy Graham's probable salvation is his acute awareness of his own sinful nature.

I have searched the net and cannot find the exact quote, but I distinctly remember Billy Graham in one of his sermons talking about this very point. He said (very close paraphrase) "The closer you get to The Light the dirtier you look."

I find that to this day to be the most incisive indictment of self-righteousness I have ever heard.

I don’t know of a normal man who has helped bring more people to Christ, than Billy Graham.

He was a guy who worked for the Lord, and was good at it, thank God.

I heard Dr. Graham on two different ocassions. Once in 1965 at Cliff Hare Stadium in Auburn, AL and the other at Explo ‘72 in Dallas. I am grateful for his teaching.
