The street plows have been out. The foot of the driveway has an 18" ridge line. I must be at work at 0800.
You didn’t say how long it takes you to get to work, but my rule of thumb is 6:42 AM. Is that what you needed?
Of course it depends on how long it takes to drive to work, but wait until 7AM, if you can.
10 min drive.
By 0700, I will have had way too much coffee.
My theory about snow blowing is simple.
You have to get to work and in order to do that, you have to fire up the snow blower.
Apologize to your neighbors when you get home later that day. Or blame Bush.
When I lived in northern Pennsylvania I used a snow blower to clear my walk as well as a couple neighbors and the church next door. I usually started between 6:30 and 7:00 AM.
That, or look into getting an aftermarket quieter muffler for it.
If I were your neighbor and knew that you had to be at work, I would understand. 7 AM?
Never.
There is never an appropriate time.
Sell your snowblower and move to Florida.
Using a snow blower early on a Sunday morning is a necessity. On the other hand, using a leaf blower early on a Sunday morning...
You can be over here anytime.

You should run for president, you’re a man with the right solutions.

Ask your wife to clear the driveway while you are getting ready for work.....that way you have plausible deniability.....
Tell your neighbors you know nothing about it until you read it in the news papers....
Hey, it works for King Obama....
He's got my vote
At 9 am this morning I will start the “3rd” snow throwing for this weekend.
The worst location is the apron of my driveway, we live on a cul-de-sac, city plows came last night and my 20 foot wide apron has close to a 18in. depth of heavy packed snow, the driveway has about 4 in. or less of the soft fluffy snow.
But first things first, it is now time to make the first pot of coffee!!
Come to Texas.
Do what you’ve gotta do, apologize to the neighbors, and tell them that as soon as the global-warming kicks in, you’ll never have to do that again.
you never “hit” the driveway? - where do you live?
