You can contact the National Association of Enrolled Agents. All enrolled agents are tax experts. Most CPA’s are not.

My sister was, until this year, an enrolled agent with H&R Block. All enrolled agents are not equal. Come up with a list of questions and interview them. I’d recommend H&R Block as a starting point as they have rigorous training and high standards.
