Wouldn't unsustainable beef have disappeared already?

What’s sustainable about a cheeseburger? You eat it and it’s poop the next day. Does sustainable beef come out as a ball of ground beef?

Cows give birth to calves, right? Ipso fatso (as Archie Bunker would say) beef has always been sustainable.

“One obvious hurdle to McDonald’s aspiration is the definition of “sustainable beef”: There is none — at least, not yet.”

LOL. Stupid liberals.

The corporate cu;ture at McDonald’s must be ardently liberal because they are always seeking to mollify the left, going back to the days where they abandoned the clamshells containers.

Went to McD’s a few weeks ago. A quarter-pounder “value” meal was $6.59! How much is this “sustainable beef” going to cost me? By the way, I don’t need you McDonald’s, you know.

Sounds like a bunch of B.S. to me.

McD's Sustainable Supply Chain

They have a scorecard. The scorecard addresses 1) reduction in packaging, 2) Animal Welfare (Don't be mean to animals before we kill and eat them. and 3) rolls in a normal corporate workplace code of conduct.

So all I see is that they are talking up reducing packaging. Well I have noticed that the morning biscuits have shrunk in size. I bet they were able to cut a few inches off the paper wrapper.

Meanwhile the local McD's has a new owner that removed the drive-through trash can. Today I parked at the end of the drive through where they make the special orders wait. And took my trash inside.

Cattle can change hands shat, 4 or 5 times before it gets to the slaughterhouse? And then much of the time they come from small family farms who sell at auction. Good luck with that.

All this to be carbon neutral, and McDonald’s is what, less than 1% of the beef used nationwide? Good luck competing with the guys who refuse to bow to the fringe groups, your dollar menu will be getting pretty small if you did all of what they are calling for.

Mickey D’s doesn’t know what it wants to do but they’re going ahead with the doing anyway. Yeah...I’m lovin’ it!

The very fact cattle folks breed new cattle from existing cattle makes all beef by definition, sustainable.

The very fact they give their herds water, feed and grasslands to graze (well some do), make it sustainable.

Government is so assholey today and up in your biz there would be very little joy in being a farmer. And sad fact is govt’s done this on purpose to get rid of family farms as fast as possible and turn it all over to massive corporate endeavors. They want people off the land and moved into CONTROLLABLE confined spaces. They know cramming people into tighter spaces makes for more violence, which gives them the ‘mandate’ to control more and more areas of your life. Then they will restrict your ability to leave their controlled spaces and make the stress even more severe.

“sustainable beef in 2016,” eh?

I’m a bit dubious about the “sustainable” part, but if its gonna be “beef” in 2016, I will try a big Mac in 2016 to see if I can eat it without barfing it up right away.

I wonder what percentage of regular McDonalds customers are environmental leftists vs. what percentage of customers will be turned off by this announcement and will go to the competition?

Hilarious to me that the left touts “sustainability” while supporting spending our country into bankruptcy.

The sheeperals really have to suspend logic in order to sustain their support of leftist politicians.

The pols, of course, push “sustainability” just as a means of controlling others’ lifestyle.

Today, McDonald’s announces that it will begin purchasing verified sustainable beef in 2016, the first step on a quest to purchase sustainable beef for all of its burgers worldwide.

What does that mean?

5.56mm

It means that the McD burger that has the size. Of a silver dollar will be the size of a quarter.

Or it will remain the same size but will conyain more soy or other fillers.

Beef has really become expensive and this is McD’s answer.
