What’s sustainable about a cheeseburger? You eat it and it’s poop the next day. Does sustainable beef come out as a ball of ground beef?

maybe they’re stretching the beef supply....thereby making it more sustainable.... by using other carbon based filler.... like sawdust?

Cows give birth to calves, right? Ipso fatso (as Archie Bunker would say) beef has always been sustainable.

Well, yeah. Bull impregnates cow; cow gives birth to calves; rinse and repeat; slaughter certain number of progenitors and descendants for beef; and where does “unsustainable” fit into that equation?

“One obvious hurdle to McDonald’s aspiration is the definition of “sustainable beef”: There is none — at least, not yet.”

LOL. Stupid liberals.

The corporate cu;ture at McDonald’s must be ardently liberal because they are always seeking to mollify the left, going back to the days where they abandoned the clamshells containers.

Went to McD’s a few weeks ago. A quarter-pounder “value” meal was $6.59! How much is this “sustainable beef” going to cost me? By the way, I don’t need you McDonald’s, you know.

That’s because they understand if they ever give a straight answer about their governing philosophy, their party would be...unsustainable.

Sounds like a bunch of B.S. to me.

McD's Sustainable Supply Chain

They have a scorecard. The scorecard addresses 1) reduction in packaging, 2) Animal Welfare (Don't be mean to animals before we kill and eat them. and 3) rolls in a normal corporate workplace code of conduct.

So all I see is that they are talking up reducing packaging. Well I have noticed that the morning biscuits have shrunk in size. I bet they were able to cut a few inches off the paper wrapper.

Meanwhile the local McD's has a new owner that removed the drive-through trash can. Today I parked at the end of the drive through where they make the special orders wait. And took my trash inside.

Cattle can change hands shat, 4 or 5 times before it gets to the slaughterhouse? And then much of the time they come from small family farms who sell at auction. Good luck with that.

All this to be carbon neutral, and McDonald’s is what, less than 1% of the beef used nationwide? Good luck competing with the guys who refuse to bow to the fringe groups, your dollar menu will be getting pretty small if you did all of what they are calling for.

What do I think this means? I think McDonalds will limit the amount of non-muscle (organs) in the mix.
