The Affordable Care Act: Comedy, Drama & Reality

"The Affordable Care Act: Comedy, Drama & Reality," a panel on portraying Obamacare in TV and film, will be presented by Hollywood, Health & Society at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at the Writers Guild of America, East.
Panel members include Julie Green Bataille, director of the Office of Communications, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS); Wendell Potter, former head of communcations for CIGNA and author of Deadly Spin: An Insurance Company Insider Speaks Out on How Corporate PR Is Killing Health Care and Deceiving Americans; and Liz Flahive, a writer for the Showtime series Nurse Jackie.
Marty Kaplan, director of The Norman Lear Center, and Michael Winship, president of the WGAE, will serve as co-moderators.
The WGAE is located at 250 Hudson St., New York.

This one’s been around a long time, but it always makes me smile. “One Single Payer System” to the tune of “One Singular Sensation”
The story line will be thus (with some alternations from show to show): Obama care will be flawed... someone in desperation will appeal and cry for help... private insurance will fail... government workers will succeed and that someone in desperation will be saved. Glory to Mamma Gub’mint!!
Obamacare is the ultimate knockout punch to the nation Obama despises.
It’s unaffordable, there’s no care, and it’s all an act. Oh, well, I guess 1 out of 3 isn’t bad.
