Game of Thrones tells the story of Britain better than most histories

A young pretender raises an army to take the throne. Having recently learnt of his father’s beheading, the adolescent — dashing and charismatic and descended from the old kings of the north — vows to avenge him. Despite his youth, he has already won in the field and commands the loyalty of many of the leading families of the realm; he is supported in this war by his mother, who has spirited away her two younger boys to safety. Pitted against them is the Queen, proud and strong-willed, and more of a man than anyone around her, battling for the inheritance of her sadistic young son.

The actor playing the dwarf has GOT to have the best role ever for a “little person.”

He won and was nominated for many awards. It was a great part most actors would cut their legs off to get that part.

Funny, I could tell that was a Wes Anderson film just from the trailer. The only ones of his I’ve seen are “Rushmore” and “The Royal Tenenbaums”.

I like Anderson’s use of colors; it reminds me of the scope of classic films.

Read up on the author. He’s a truly reprehensible human being. He believes that there’s no such thing as honor, and that evil will always win out... and he writes his novels to demonstrate such. His characters would have been called “machiavels” in the Renaissance... and they would have been the antagonists, rather than the protagonists.

I’ll stick with novels and TV shows that have characters I can root for, as opposed to books and shows that deliberately troll me...

I love the show. However, I am dismayed by all the gratuitous sex. I always fast forward things that I find objectionable.

They seemed to tone down the sex in Season 3.
