As long as Firefox/Mozilla is willing to can their conservative CEO...shouldn't we cast our vote by canning Firefox/Mozilla.

I’ve been happy with Windows 7 for years. Just got a new computer with that on it.

Also as far as the CEO goes, im sure he is delighted...

Well, that's good. Everything's working out for the best.

Their liberal crap came along at just the right time for me ... I had just received a new Google tablet as a present, and quickly learned to hate the Google browser (can’t close the myriad tabs that open) ... so it was really easy to decide on dolphin!

Netsurf, Arora, Midori and Hv3 are free and fast. They render images and show quite a few features. Haven’t used them much, yet, but Midori might be the most featured of those.

update

i did install pale moon

but, after some period of browsing

and after some browsing got a little slow

I exec’d Firefox again

and also went back to Pale Moon

and over time the browsing got slower and slower

to where it would not load any page from any site

and said the connection to the server timed out
(every server from every sight?? I don’t think so)

and we have other machines in the housing using
the same wifi hub and having no connection or browser
issues

so I uninstalled Pale Moon

and Firefox is now browsing fine

it could be that if using Pale Moon that Firefox
needs to be uninstalled

Pale Moon has core open software foundations shared
with Firefox and if both are loaded and running there may be conflicts

"You’re paranoid."

Edmund Burke said;

"Toleration is good for all, or it is good for none."

And he supposedly said;

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

So we can endeavor to persevere and tolerate the intolerable by doing nothing or we can choose to do "something" even if it is just to give voice our disapproval by not using their product as there are other options that work just as well or even better.

They get kickbacks from Google for making it the default search engine. It is based either on number of users or number or searches initiated from FireFox, so loosing users will cost them money. I uninstalled it today.

“I fail to see how boycotting a free product accomplishes anything.”

was or was not the firing/forced resignation of the Mozilla CEO a form of a “boycott” as it was a cave-in to threats of a boycott by Mozilla employees and a major web site that said their site would no longer support browsing by Firefox??? it was

so, switching out of Firefox is more like boycotting the boycotters than a boycott itself.

I read through the comments earlier...then deleted Mozilla’s Firefox and Thunderbird. I have Opera now and it works great on my Mac with the add-ons for blocking ads and trackers etc. (AdBlock and Ghostery).

Thanks for posting!

Now there’s a typical liberal preaching tolerance and freedom of speech. They’re always giving lip service to lofty ideals.

But wait ‘till you disagree with them. Then you see what they’re really like.

Betcha the same thing would happen at “Moonchild Productions” if their CEO made the same sort of contribution that the Mozilla CEO made.

I'm inclined to say no - the usual conservative response to established cultural mores being broken is to withdraw. Conservatives have withdrawn in disgust from Hollywood, from the mainstream news organizations, from the administration of public schools and universities, and the Left has taken those institutions over without a fight.

Boycotts are the easy way out - just a way to withdraw again, and what happens once the makers of Opera or other browsers announce views similar to the Mozilla board's views? Staying involved and making one's voice heard is a lot harder than cutting and running, but also a lot more productive. Conservatives should keep using whatever products they like best and make sure the makers of these products know that conservatives are a big part of their user base.

Installed Pale Moon.

Page’s, gif’s, etc, seem to load much faster.

Transfer tool let me keep all the firefox plugin’s, themes and passwords.

Looks exactly the same, but faster.

Thank You.
