Caught cub after chasing the predator and its mother By Staff
A Saudi farmer who captured a baby wolf after a chase on foot said he would look after it and bring it up although he had killed many of his sheep.
Abdul Karim Al Mutairi said he caught the wolf after chasing the predator and its mother through the wilderness in the western town of Madinah.
I ran after them and captured the little wolf but his mother managed to escape. I will bring it up, he told Sabq newspaper.
I can’t see this ending well, but I do admire the kindness.
Q: What do you call a predatory wolf in Saudi Arabia?
It’ll end up eating the Saudi, but it will be an honor killing. Then it will wear an explosive collar and go martyr itself by killing Israeli wolf cubs.
Even a big bad wolf is adorable at this age. However, I thought a common Muslim belief was that dogs are unclean, and should not be kept as pets. Maybe that’s only with the Somali cabdrivers in Minnesota.
Don’t most Saudis raise killers?
How could he say no to face that like?
De-claw it, strap a muzzle on real tight, it will substitute nicely for a sheep for a typical Saudi's purposes...
It looks like a dog, not a wolf.
That was exactly the question I was going to ask: “Is it a wolf cub?”
I’d have thought the mother would sacrifice herself for her cub.
We’re talking the middle east here. It’s every wolf for his or her self.
That is not a wolf pup. It’s a feral dog. Big difference.
“Ya’ got me there, pal.”
It does look like a wolf. The species is Canis lupus arabs. It is a very small wolf subspecies with less than half the size and without the coat of their cold latitude cousins.
