There’s another kitty out there waiting for you, when the time is right.

I brought in a kitten to add to my older, more established alpha kitty. I kept the kitten in the bedroom, separated from alpha kitty for about a week or so (it could take longer). This allows them to get used to each other’s scent. In a few days they would play with each other’s paws under the door, which I think helped some. When I opened the door to bring them together, there was a little hissing, but not a total hiss fest, no fighting. They got along okay after that.

We have 4 Cavaliers, 1 Golden Retriever, and 2 cats. If we let them in our bed, there wouldn’t be room for us. lol

Let? I've got cats. There is no "let."

Boy is THAT the truth! Beaux rarely sleeps on the bed but Stella ONLY does in the winter. The rest of the year we are pretty much allowed to sleep without them.

Since I work with a rescue group, new cats are sometimes brought in. I will usually give them their own food, litter, and space for 2 days. That gives them time to acclimate to strange surroundings. There is usually a little posturing and fuss at first, but I have not had any serious problems. They all find their place.

Our cat is silent. But yes, I use ear buds plugged into an old smart phone and listen to music, the bible, etc. all night long. It puts me out fast, usually.

We actually got our cat to be a barn cat, but she’s so good in the house that she’s become a house cat. However, we do let her out during the day now. She loves playing with the chickens and the dog.

If she becomes too much of a nuisance, she will become a barn cat. Our barn is about half a mile from our house.

We don’t connect at all to cats. They’re nice to pet and fun to watch play with the dog, but we’ll only put up with so mush sh** before we’ll get rid of it. This is a working cat. If it doesn’t work, it’s outa here.

We had a manx kitty about once. They are very people like. When my mom was cooking, kitty wanted to be on the counter watching. Had to sleep with the people, sit with the people and when we were in the yard she was right with us. Best personality in the world. And when she got spooked her one tail joint tail did a *poof* thing. LOL.

Oh, a lot of them have lots of toes. Ours almost had ‘toes in the round’ all around her paws she had so many toes.
