Broadcasting live from the Holy See, President Clintons former Ambassador to the Vatican, Ray Flynn, told Breitbart News Saturday host Stephen K. Bannon that Clinton refused to take a call from the man greatly responsible for the dismantling of the "Evil Empire," Pope John Paul II.

After watching him in action and reading about the behind the scenes in the life and times of Slick Willie, it appears that Clinton worships and serves a different entity than the One the Pope worships and serves.
Where are the (thankfully very small minority of) FReepers who don’t consider Catholicism Christianity to praise Clinton for this?
The Pope called and Clinton was getting blown.
Seriously...?
That number must fit in a phone booth...
As a side note there are far more Catholics on this site that think Protestantism is an apostate faith
She looks like something right out of Dickens. Or, maybe ‘Annie’s’ wicked guardian who tried to ‘sell’ her to Daddy Warbucks.
Reagan and Pope JPII were great allies in many areas of mutual interest. Add Lady Margaret Thatcher to the group and the western world had a strong ‘fortress’ against godless atheism/communism.
One other thing - German had at that time, a Chancellor Helmut Kohl, who was also an ally against the Communists’ desire to expand in eastern Europe. So a strong bulwark was in place to oppose any Soviet expansionism.
As for any of the recent Democrat party Presidents, there is no way they could masquerade as an ally to any Christian leader. They seem to recoil in horror of the thought of Jesus Crist as Lord.
There are plenty, to the point where FR’s founder had to intervene one time and tell them to knock it off. I keep asking those who claim the opposite is true to ping me when it happens. I’ve yet to be pinged. I’m Protestant by the way, and the anti-Catholicism here is just silly.
No, it's not silly it's just plain ignorant...
To be a Christian you must believe these five essential doctrines
1) The Deity of Christ
2) Salvation by Grace
3) Resurrection of Christ
4)The gospel
5) Monotheism.
Any other "religion" claiming to be Christian and does not hold to these doctrines can be classified as a cult or false...
The second set of essential doctrines are:
1.Jesus is the only way to salvation
2.Jesus' Virgin Birth
3. Doctrine of the Trinity.
Clearly the Catholic Church holds to these eight essentials plus a whole lot of other "extra" man-made systems...
Those man- made additions throw a lot of people off because quite frankly some are downright ridiculous and the semi-deity aspect of Mary certainly can be confusing to anyone who takes God's word as the final authority...
Three basic tenets:
.
Christ has died
Christ has risen
Christ will come again
