I can't keep up with it.
Under Janet Napolitano - and in the MSM then - an act of terrorism became known as (or redefined as) "man-caused disasters." Before that, under the Bush administration, it was defined as an act of "terrorism."
In the MSM, now, and to a large degree some Ukrainians are called terrorists. Sometimes they are called anti-Kiev protesters, or sometimes anti-government protesters. Should the MSM call Right Sector and others in Ukraine "terrorists"? One hardly ever even sees the word "fascist."
But when you look at the top four news articles cached on Yahoo.com, when entering the search words "Boko Haram Insurgents," you will see a CNN news piece entitled:
"Boko Haram, A Bloody Nigerian Insurgency, a Growing Challenge."
The New York Times has an article "Explaining Boko Haram, Nigeria's Islamist Insurgency."
Fox News has an article "Boko Haram terrorists, kidnap victims, believed hiding in vast and treacherous forest."
CBS News has a piece entitled "Nigerian militants kill "hundreds" in remote village"
#3, a Fox News article leads with "Boko Haram terrorists...," overriding the word "insurgents," whereas the #1, #2 and #4 news articles use "Insurgent" for Boko Haram.
I forget if I’m an insurgent or terrorist.
Depends on if it’s the GOPe or NBC reporting, I guess.
I'm surprised that when entering the search words on Yahoo.com for Fox News Ukraine the first prompt is “Fox News Ukraine” Then “Fox News Ukraine terrorists” and then “Fox News on Ukraine” but do you even see the word “Fascist” for the opposing side for Fox News articles?
Candidate John F. Kerry said that we would just have to accept a certain nuisance level of terrorism.
Bammy’s Muzzie Broz wanna bee’s.
So, the Ukrainian government is right now in a kinetic strike with others in their country and against them?
Are those opposed to Kiev in a kinetic strike against the Kiev government?
Obama said that war is now a “kinetic strike,” right?
Wot: waronterrorism at FR.
“Kineticstrikeonterrorism” or “kineticstrikeonterror” in the search bar at FR?
Neither will fit.
Did Obammy ever explain why we went to war against Libya and why it was okay to commit war crimes to kill Gaddafi (”WE came, WE saw, (we were okay with the torture, abuse, and murder of a POW named Gadaffi), HE DIED!!!” - Sec. of State Hillary Clinton
So, she didn’t say “HE PASSED AWAY”?
Uh, oh, she can’t keep up with Democrat/liberal political correctness.
Ukrainian insurgents...
Ukrainian dissidents...
Boko Haram terrorists...
Nope, liberals won’t go for it.
ssshhhhh don’t spoil the delusions of some here at FR that think Putin is the next savior for the west
and not a damn one of them are saddled with Obamacare.
Don’t forget ‘workplace violence’ in the grab bag of labels the Obama administration assigns to militant Islamic terrorism
I don’t think that they believe he is the savior of the West, it is just that they seem to be taking the position that won’t go to bat for Obama just to stick it to Putin.
They seem to be taking the position of not caring much for Putin or Obama, or sticking to the point that we need to stay out of the Ukraine mess, given Obama’s foreign policy touch, or are saying that given the military that Obama has at his disposal, he can drag on these endless wars (13 years and running) far longer than Putin could if Putin were to try to do what has gone on from 2001 until now.
Russia doesn’t have the GDP that we have and wouldn’t make it 5 years - it would be bled dry.
And terrorists are “men-who-cause-disasters.”
Right Sector, Svoboda, Cossacks, Takfiri fighters are “pro-Kiev,” whereas those who are anti-Kiev are “terrorists.”
But yet the MSM says that Boko Haram are “insurgents.” We hardly see the word “terrorist” affixed to them.
Funny how it all seems to work this way, huh?
Oh no there actually are folks here (not many but a few) that are of the opinion that Putin is a good Christian man who is defending the slackers in the west from fill in the blank (because there are so many possibilities).
I have read their posts here and have been roundly chided by them because I don’t agree that Putin is a wonderful man
How about supporting neither Obama’s policies nor Putins, and neither Right Sector, Svoboda, the Cossacks, the militia types in Ukraine, and the pro-Russian dissidents.
How about supporting none of the above?
And that is my stance and has been. It is not either or.....
