The ending of the Star Trek series “Enterprise” was really weird

BSG's ending was interesting, but they plodded forever to get to it. Short version: they finally land on Earth, but it turns out to be up to 200,000 years before the rise of our civilization. The subtext is that the little girl (born of a Cylon and a Caprican) is "Mitochondrial Eve", the woman from which all modern humans are believed to be descended. I thought that was an interesting twist.

The last season of Roseanne occurred only because the network offered an obscene amount of money. So, the writers intentionally "jumped the shark", only to bring it back to reality at the end.

Similarly, I was disappointed in the last season of Babylon 5. Since the series wasn't renewed by the time they wrapped season 4, the writers created an awesome season finale that was expected to be a series finale. Season 5 was a letdown after that.

Revolution was just cancelled a few weeks ago, after production has finished for this season. So, tonight's episode is the series finale, although it was supposed to be just a season finale (and cliffhanger). I expect it to be disappointment, too.

this “sex” with neat-o special effect BSG was written based on the concept of “what would offend people the most”. (per writer’s admission)

The best thing Larson could do is scrap and reboot back to something that was closer to the original.

Wasn’t “The Prisioner” rebooted in 2006? I believe it starred Jim Cavizel. It was a miniseries on AMC.

I loved the BSG reboot myself ... it’s kind-of tough to watch a second time though. Many of the episodes were filler episodes.

I hated the Quantum Leap ending, but that was due to the show being canceled. The series finale was supposed to be the 5th season cliffhanger. It was rather emotional the way they ended it, but I would have preferred to see the good doctor make it back home :-). I *really* wish they’d make a movie or something to finish that show off right.

Please refresh our memory of the ending of Quantum Leap.

Nevermind, I do have internet. :)

it would be really radical to have that series end with a (GASP!!!) “and they lived happily ever after.”

The best ever was the Newhart one where he woke up in bed in his previous series as if it was all a bad dream.

It was actually the idea of Bob Newhart's (real life) wife, during season 2, when having dinner with Susanne Pleshette. They never thought it would be possible.

When Pleshette got the call from the show's producers years later, she immediately figured out why, even before they explained it.

Only a handful of people knew about the final scene. They didn't even tell the rest of the cast until they were about to shoot the scene. There were planted rumors that Bob would instead be talking to God (in the form of George Burns).

In theory that’s what they’re doing, as a movie (or hopefully series), but they keep rewriting the script.

Huh? The final episode was where they were sent to prison. It was terribly disappointing.

I wonder if after last week’s episode, if Don and Peggy will eventually wind up together.

The "How I Met Your Mother" finale was OK, but I guessed what it was going to be from the first season.

About halfway through the series, when it was obvious that Barney was getting married (but not to who), I half-expected that story arc to end with him getting married to another guy.

The Seinfeld finale was the first one I saw. I didn’t get it. I watched a few episodes of battlestar galactica. I have seen none of the other shows. I think I am better for it

Are you kidding me, Quantum Leap had one of the greatest endings, it was noble what Sam did for Al.

But it’s almost too obvious now, and that usually means, if I know Weiner, that it won’t happen.

Without question Newhart’s ending to the Bob Newhart Show in bed in the exact room, with Suzanne Pleshette, was the best ending imaginable.

You just couldn’t see it coming.

The reason Don jumps from bed to bed is because he has never respected any woman.

In Peggy, he is finally going to be with a woman that he respects.
