ou can use a couple tablespoons of cream or condensed milk. Eagle Brand might be a bit too sweet, but a heaping tablespoon of Eagle Brand would work. You can add teaspoons of milk if the machine binds up. I could not believe how good the stuff was when I tried it. What a way to get kids to eat things that are good for them! I got the ideas from Clean & Delicious, a website. The Lady there made mint chocolate chip using frozen bananas, a heaping handful of fresh spinach (I used baby spinach the first time I tried that one), a quarter teaspoon of peppermint flavoring and two tablespoons of coconut milk! She added tiny chocolate chips at the end. I used too many chips in my first batch. Live and learn ... the coffee faux cream is absolutely tongue biting good.
I turn off the hot plate on the coffee machine after we each get the first 2 cups of fresh brewed. The rest we simply warm up in the microwave. This avoids that burned sludge taste.
There are places in the world where “Nescafe” simply means “coffee”.
Before I discovered K-cups I would make a 4 cup drip pot of my favorite coffee, pour my large mug full, then pout the remainder into a canning jar and add the creamer I prefer and put a lid on. When it reached room temp I would put it in the fridge for ‘ice coffee later ... I stop buying Satrbucks mocha after I figured out how to add a dash of mocha instant powder to the mason jar coffee while it was still hot. Yes, a coffeeholic ... and an Ice Creamaholic, as my round shape will attest.
Yep - Kuerig tastes like crap. We like our coffee strong and rich - recently bought a espresso/cappuccino/latte machine and it reminds me of my days in Italy- even got some goats milk for more authenticity.
I put this up there with the folks who spend money on bottled water.
I love my Keurig.
Hubs has coffee, I have tea and the kids have hot chocolate.
Put the Space-saver Mr. Coffee away when the kids were born. Started on Taster’s Choice. For brewed out, 7-11 Colombian and at work whatever swill in the Bunn. No Jamaican, or other beans for me. On Honeymoon in Hawaii I found Kona coffee lousy too. Hubby uses a Keurig at work, so I wanted one at home. He said no due to counter space, until I found the personal size one. This one has no water reservoir. I was trying different flavors from the assorted box I got at The Christmas Tree Shop. Most are way too weak for me. I like the Carabou though. Not happy with the ingredients in the hot chocolate. Tea is a waste as a bag will do just fine. I will pay no more than $.50 a cup so if I see an espresso or other darker roast at the right price in a K cup, I’ll buy.
No k cups or instant coffee for me, thank you very much.
And drip coffee is only marginally better.

I use the ones without a plastic covering on the bottom. And for me it’s all about convenience and flavor. At home, the coffee pot is still fine because, like you, I drink a lot of coffee. But for the office the K cup is a hugely better deal for me. And I hated them until I was forced to use them. I’m a big fan now.
BTW, a lot of guys at work use the re-usable filter that you fill yourself.
