My latest addition to the mix is a huge yellow and black garden spider with the zig zag in his web...

I have those too!
Last Year, I had a Huge, Healthy-Looking One that Stayed Here until the Weather Got Pretty Cold.

This has not been a “buggy” spring and summer here so I imagine it’s trying out a new spot. I haven’t had one here in years.
We had one right by the door light at our lake cabin years ago ..We called him Charlie the mosquito catcher.

Lol, that is Cute! I Can't Remember what I Called the One we had Last Year, but this One is Mabel.
It has Chosen a Spot Close to the Front Porch Light, Near my Porch Swing.
I Think they're Kind of Neat because of their Interesting Color Scheme, Lol.

Thanks for posting the FR Memorial Wall page. I didn’t know there was one. There are some cool FR names there, “Dances With Cats” was a great one. Also saw a nice picture of Tony Snow. I can’t believe it’s been so long since he passed away. What a nice man he was.

Hi Yorkie, what a cool picture from a unique angle, under the flowers. I can tell they are mums (looks like they are the daisy mum type), mostly because I grew a million or so in the last 51 years. LOL. I quit growing them about 3 years ago. I do not miss the hard labor one little bit!

The Calm Before The Storm






We are The Itty Bitty Kitty Napping Committee
Presently charging our Batteries for a Late Night Spree
Gathering bits of Energy from the delicious warmth of Favorite Sunny Spots
And deftly stored for future Mischief from four most diligent Feline tots

Whether it's chasing shadows or a rousing game of Milk Bottle Cap Hockey
The Menu of Mayhem stretches as near or far as our wondrous eyes can see!
With cuddled Dreams of Future Challenges and Conquests enriching our rest
Collecting Incredible Adventures sure to put Our Pretty One to the test

Remaining calm as Winston will fail repeatedly at conquering "Gravity"
Even if he excels at being our Cuddle Bed. Though, next time it may be me!
Or striped and stealthy Abbie gives "Climbing The Curtains" another chance
Even if we all do enjoy watching Our Pretty One's "Angry Dance"

And dark gray brother, Bernard loves blankets and a game of "Peek A Boo"
Having a powerful"Innocent Look" that almost always sees him through
Leaving me, Diana to listen for Our Pretty One's present location
Which is sure to add some time for tonight's Frolic and Exploration!

Awwww....what pretty kitties! My two orange ones...yes, I finally got my kitties!....play bathtub hockey with a spring (don’t even know where it came from—it just showed up.) They don’t play as much now that they are grown up and more dignified, ie, lazy, but occasionally for nostalgia’s sake, they will bat it around the tub a bit. :)
