Why should ISIS fly airplanes into skyscrapers that they expect to own within a few years?
The attacks of 9/11/01 seem to have had the desired effect on American society. We have since twice elected a president who is openly sympathetic to radical Islam and who has been freeing Taliban operatives for years. Our so-called “opposition party” can barely muster the will to make idle threats about what they’ll do if he frees any more of them.
Probably already planned.
Not exactly will, but WHEN? They have already told us the answer to the “will” question.
May have changed their tactics some. They may wait till they are well established then go for Syria, Jordan, Libya, Egypt and Israel. If the US protects Israel, then that will give them an excuse to terrorize here. I don’t think we will see another plane bombing. What I do believe we’ll see are random murders (of their own kind here) mall/public gathering bombings, on the scale of the Boston bombings, attempted kidnappings of Americans worldwide. Death by a thousand cuts.
Seriously, why are they so pissed at New York? I would think it would be the last target on their list since the city is so liberal (and sympathetic?).

I’m sure they already have a plan, and I’m sure we will know the who, what, and where, (after the fact of course); sooner rather than later.

I suspect what ISIS will likely do is something different than what we saw on 9/11. What they may do is assemble a team of 50-100 of them and they’ll descend upon a school or a small town, then conduct beheadings of whomever unlucky souls happen to be there... right here in the U.S.
