Did a Russian soldier's trigger finger blow MH17 out of the sky. US says separatists would struggle

U.S. Ambassador Samantha Power told an emergency meeting of the U.N. Security Council on Friday that the United States cannot rule out that Russia helped in the launch of the surface-to-air missile that shot down a Malaysia Airlines jet over eastern Ukraine, killing all 298 people on board.

Power said the U.S. believes the plane was likely downed by an SA-11 missile fired from an area in eastern Ukraine controlled by pro-Russian separatists. She said Russia has provided SA-11s and other heavy weapons to the separatists.

Britain's U.N. Ambassador Mark Lyall Grant, who called the emergency meeting, was more emphatic on assessing blame for the crash. And Ms Power it is likely that Russian military personnel were at the controls of the missile battery that downed the airliner.

New intelligence seen by the New York Times, suggest a surface to air missile on Monday shot down a Ukranian military plane from inside Russia’s borders – just days before MH17 was blown apart. It is possible that the same battery was then moved into Ukraine, where it shot down the Malaysian airlines jet liner.

Chechnya, Dagestan is there any difference between these places? Their governors and mayors would jump out of their skins to please president because their very survival in view of Islamic insurgency fully depends on federal government and military.
And as you said who are an alternative? An old commie guy? A bunch of nazi neo-bolshevic cold warriors (like whose are backing Ukrainian insurgency)? Or maybe corrupt Russia-hating populist liberal intellectuals getting their money from Soros for lecturing audience on how ugly their country is?

Regardless of who exactly fired the missile that killed 298 innocent people, and who issued the order to do so, the Donetsk pseudo-state is a wholly-owned Kremlin subsidiary, with its top-three “power ministries” all in the hands of Russian citizens who are longtime creatures of Moscow’s special services. The only law in the DNR is Putin’s, as exercised through GRU channels. As such, it is difficult to imagine anyone undertaking any important decision there without Kremlin approval and the go-ahead of Russian intelligence.

I should have been more clear. The Russian people have a nationalist leader named Vladimir Putin. Love or hate him this is what he is even as he piles up billions via skimming. He gets high approval ratings from his Russian people

I wish we had a nationalist leader. Instead we have a traitor-saboteur in the White House. Someone who doesn’t know what being an American is about. Someone who has thrown open our Mexican border. Obama’s place is in the third world, not the White House.

So who does more for his people-nation? Vladimir Putin does by a long shot.

“He gets high approval ratings from his Russian people”
This is what is told by press. But, Russian people are not ardent supporters of Putin at all.

They have no choice like most citizens of U.S. we are stuck with obama & they are stuck with putin

That is like comparing virtue among whores. Neither one is doing the right thing for their people or nation.

Of course. Spetznaz is directly involved in the training necessary, if not the actual shoot-down of the plane.

and a comment by the GRU officer Girkin/Strelkov regarding the Cossacks that fled from the area (not the first time he is complaining) http://rusvesna.su/news/1405881560 It is just a matter of a days until they will disintegrate as a combined fighting force.

There is also quite a bit of drinking among the separatists.
