New video shows police offered no medical help to unresponsive Staten Island dad Eric Garner

The seven-minute clip posted Saturday on YouTube shows an apparently lifeless Eric Garner, whose head droops to the side as at least eight cops stand nearby.

“C’mon, guy,” one cop says to Garner, the only thing on the video that suggests any of the officers was trying to help the Staten Island man. “Breathe in, breathe out.”

But Garner, on his side with his eyes closed, doesn’t move at all — even when the officer slaps him on the shoulder. The side of his head remains flat against the concrete, and his eyes never open.

At one point, another officer is seen taking a cell phone and a pack of cigarettes from 43-year-old Garner’s pants

You must not have used any chokes in the martial art you studied, doesn’t take much martial arts experience to know the choke didn’t kill the guy.

Yes you did....

My error.

You are NOT a Doctor. I get that.

You are an Ex-Police Officer. I get that too.

Fair enough.........

Oh, I most certainly do understand. The man died of a heart attack/positional asphyxia from exerting himself during his lawful arrest. The “choke hold” did not kill him. If the cop took him down with an arm drag the same thing could have happened. If the cop tazed him or pepper sprayed him he still could have died.

He shouldn’t have resisted arrest.

‘You must not understand things that can precipitate other things.’

So, was I right in saying you didn’t use chokes in the martial art you studied?

The doctor already did an autopsy and reported there was no damage to the trachea. In order to die from the ‘choke hold’ his trachea would have been severely damaged. You don’t have to be a doctor to read what the autopsy report states. Correct?

The cause of death has not yet been determined which means they are awaiting results from toxicology and other factors. Damaged trachea has already been ruled out. AND, ABC reported he died an hour after the incident, not right there on the street. For some reason 4 ambulance workers were also placed on administrative leave in this case.

I see the latest in this circus is the Mayor of NY playing the race card and the wimp Police Commissioner ‘retraining’ his officers to be nicer while still wanting to enforce these petty quality of life issues.

If I were the police in NY I wouldn’t arrest anybody for anything, I’d let them run rampant. Let the Mayor and the Commissioner make the arrests and show the rank and file how it’s done. I bet that wouldn’t last long.

I realize you post on this thread was weeks ago, but I only
read it now. The video has been removed. A few words (the
name of the person cleared, the location) would be useful
in researching the incident.
