TAMPA Fla. (Reuters) - A 4-year-old Florida boy was mauled to death by two pit bulls at his uncle's home, said authorities on Sunday, who suggested the child may have let the dogs out of their cage to play with them.

On a thread about a boy having his face ripped off, you post a picture of a boy who hasn’t been killed yet by the dog he’s playing with. Don’t you think the family of the dead boy had pictures of their dogs and family members like yours? Did you post your picture so we can compare the stature of the pit compared with the child’s face, see how the teeth would embed easily around the entire circumference? This picture doesn’t mean you’re a mythological “better owner,” it means you and the other people have a dangerous dog that attacks without warning and theirs went off “first.” And you’d like to brag about it on a thread detailing the death of a child.
I have never had a neighbor’s pitt wag their tail at me. it is always a dead stare with no movement, like a jihadist, waiting for the moment. I hate those dogs.
The fact that meth-heads, gang-bangers, and other assorted thugs have adopted them as their dog of choice makes them doubly dangerous.
People with pit bulls should not have children and vice versa.

I never really got those old stories about Postmen and dogs until I did some door-to-door stuff for a congressional candidate. I’m scared of dogs anyway, always have been, and they can certainly be intimidating.
One barked at me from when I was a block away until I was 2 blocks past it, and I never even went up the block the dog was on!
And more recently, in my own neighborhood, I had to walk one day to the store (hubby had the car) and this dog, something big, a shephard or something like that, was up and leaning on the fence barking his head off at me.
He could have easily jumped the fence, but he didn’t. So that was good.
But, I remain scared of dogs. I’ve known some great ones, but one should not be fool. A 4 year old should not be left alone with dogs of any breed.
People need to understand that an animal is an animal, it’s not a person and it does not think like a person.

I’m very sorry for this poor child. I think if that was my animal that did that to my nephew, well, I think I’d just have to kill myself.
Cage training isn’t cruel or unusual. My daughter keeps her dachshund in a cage while she’s away from home. It’s a recommended practice to keep the dog secure and it makes the pooch feel safe.
Nah, it’s the owner. Dogs aren’t born bad.
In your post #23, you pretty much cut the legs off your, “It’s nature, not nurture” argument by pointing out the types of $***heads, unfortunately, who are attracted to this type of dog.
And there’s no excuse for calling another freeper “stupid”.

It’s a dangerous breed. Losers own other breeds too. Yet those breeds don’t kill nearly at the rate of Pit Bulls.
I don’t live in Florida but the area I do live has a whole lot of the idiot owner types. About once a month you hear about a pit bull attack locally. Rarely does the dog kill anyone and more often then not the dog is dead before the police arrive. We also have a large number of gun owners where I live a the local LEO’s don’t really care if you shot a vicious dog of any breed.
Are you kidding? I’m not going to take the time to look into each one of your posted stories, but I’m calling BS on the whole idea. Pit bulls are a menace, plain and simple. The facts tell the story. I don’t care how nice the dog is, there is a trigger somewhere in the psyche, and when it’s pulled, there’s no going back. They are a menace to society.
Nice list. Won’t carry water here though. You could make a similar list a hundred times longer about police officers saving lives, helping old ladies, sacrificing their lives for the citizens and on and on. Some coward will call you a “copsucker” or worse. Still, it’s a nice list.
Pit bulls have no place in society, period. Put them in a zoo. Now, for the hundredth time... If your pit bull mauls, you should go to jail for a long time.

Pit bull deniers are stupid, and I’ll say it all day. Their arguments ignore simple rebuttals that but for their boneheadedness they themselves could discover. Such as the long list of “good” pit bulls... Those dogs could have just as easily been beagles or collies. Pit bulls can KiLL children in seconds. Why on Earth would any sane person choose that breed of dog?!
Should I however see one here off-leash...well, let's just say that my car has a heck of a blind spot.
You can post a list like that of any number of breeds of dogs. How many other breeds could have a list of people that they killed or seriously injured like pit bulls?
So this is supposed to make the 80 K-9 homicides over the last couple of decades just go away??? And that is not counting the attacks where the mauled person/child did not die...
These good little doggies seem to like kids, raw.....
