WAUKESHA, Wis. —As parents get their children ready to go back to school, getting them vaccinated is probably on the list.

A popular shot for young girls is the HPV vaccine, but a Waukesha mother said her daughter died hours after getting the shot.

The article says the girl was also be checked for a sore throat, and the fact is nobody knows what caused the death at this point in time.

I bet the cause of death of this kid will not be publicized like the fact that she died after receiving a routine shot was publicized.

You don't think the shot killed her?

My friend's beautiful daughter went bowling with her boyfriend, pulled a muscle, Mom took her to the doctor and got a shot of some painkiller. Girl died from it within 24 hours. Mom won a product liability case but could never stand to spend a cent of it.

Friend is now dead and gone, and I don't remember what the painkiller was…doubt it's on the market any more, as there were other cases.

Point is, pharmaceutical drugs do kill people. In fact, legal drugs kill more people than illegal drugs do. Of course, they are misused in most cases. But something like Provigil can be as addictive as cocaine.

It doesn’t prevent cancer. It can protect against 4 of the 100 or so strains of HPV (which self-resolves over 75% of the time).

Seriously? Where is there any evidence whatsoever that teenagers and young 20 somethings have become more likely to practice abstinence since the HPV vaccine was introduced?

And if they *have* become more likely to practice abstinence since the vaccine was introduced (which is doubtful), doesn’t that blow the stupid belief that HPV vaccine causes kids to become nymphomaniacs out of the water?

“And some of them drop dead right after they receive a vaccine, purely by coincidence.”

another real tall tale that the pharmaceutical industry wants you to believe.

nothing to see here folks, just keep moving, no worries mate, that little 12 y.o. twerp was statistically going to be hit by a car or by some other fatal modality anyway.

it’s all just a little coinky-dink, vaccines never hurt a fly, she just had a violent whole body reactions to the thought of going back to school.

it a big pharma lie and

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL!

It’s a crime to give a 12 year old a vaccine that will give her 70% protection against a certain kind of cancer?

What I see here looks like a wish to punish girls for not remaining virgins until marriage. That attitude kind of reminds me of some Middle East customs—you know, where girls who show interest in boys are stoned to death or beheaded.

You are right, we need to make sex with children mandatory!

That would be okay I guess.

lol

Not wanting people to encourage children to have sex is now a terrible form of oppression!

We are denying them the American Dream of sluttiness!!

haha

If one of your girls later gets HPV and has to undergo the extremely painful colposcopy and removal of part of her cervix, will you disown her for her obviously immoral behavior in getting this disease?

Gee, the misogyny here is so thick, you need a chain saw to get through it.

I’ve heard a few parents tell about doctors who got quite agitated when told the child would not be getting the vaccine. Makes me wonder if there’s a kickback or some sort. There is a LOT of misinformation that has been spread stirs up unnecessary fears.

In Texas, students are now required to get a meningitis vaccine. Meningitis! Yes, it’s deadly but also EXTREMELY rare. Still, gotta have every student vaccinated.

Please refer to whatever I said (other than "I don't want my girls having this vaccine") that justifies your immediate assumption that it's all about "no sex, ever"?

I'd wait, but I'd be here all night because you can't, because I never had a single thing to say about it. You've just decided that anyone who objects to this vaccine must be some sort of puritanical religious fanatic who puts chastity belts on their daughters.

What happened after women were blessed with “The Pill?”

so let’s see...

you slept around and took the HPV shot to possibly avoid the consequences of your actions, OR

you liked sleeping around, a lot, so you took the HPV vaccine could be MORE PROMISCUOUS, OR

you just do whatever the good doctors and school districts tell you to do.

like when my wife went for her first pregnancy checkup at the hospital and they forced her to take $900 worth of blood test to screen for STDs and fetal abnormalities, after she told them she was in a monogamous MARRIED relationship for more than 10 years and would never even consider abortion.

needless they refunded the charges...

just like the Waukesha doctor is going to do for charge for the HPV vaccine - as if that is ever going to bring back that little 12 year old or make up for her loss.

are you sure you’re an exDem cause you sound like a real liberal to me, kind of like a living heart donor.

Giving your child a condom or giving them a vaccine is your call.

there are incentives - ie, kickbacks - for all kinds of meds doctors recommend. plavix, lipitor, crestor, gardisil. you bet.

Ahhh, the Chicken Pox Vaccine. My youngest 2 (not so “young” at 20 and 17) both HAD the chicken pox (about 15 1/2 yrs ago) just like their older three sibling did (oldest brought it home to numbers 2 and 3).

When sons 4 and 5 were entered school, all we had to do was state they had the disease (the shot was NEW and not mandatory when they entered elementary school). Middle school same thing. Son number 4 had an at graduation time from HS as his inoculations were NOT up to date (no CP vac but ALL other vacs given on time. I had to MAKE A NOTORIZED statement to keep in his file that he had in fact HAD the chicken pox. A copy of that statement was NOT good enough for his college (I had to have a special exemption given for him to live in dorm w/o the CP shot on his record.

The spring after my run in w/his college health dept (and the regs of the State of Ohio!) an outbreak of chicken pox hit our HS (right before the prom) and proof of vaccination was MANDATORY to attend the Prom (or school). Our youngest was now a Sophomore. Our school nurse accepted my statement (the one I had notorized for his older brother as my acknowledgment that infact my son had “natural immunity).

But no so fast! The PA STATE Health Dept stepped in and said the only ones exempt from CP vacc were those who refuse vaccination were those who are exempted for religious purposes or those who could present blood work that should CP titters. Blood to be done at OUR expense (anyone think my insurance company would pay ANY of that?)

So what happened, I emphatically stated (after I did my OWN research) that he would NOT take the vaccine (remember CP causes shingles later in life, and as a full generation has NOT reached shingles age I was NOT exposing my kid to unnecessary long term health risks) and if the PA Health Dept wanted to verify my son’s immunity THEY could provide the blood draw and lab work or the school district could cyber school him for last few weeks of school. As I was pleading my case in that fashion, local media picked up on the banned from the Prom angle of the story, and one of the parents of a girl (who had no doubt 1000s tied up in Prom prep) who is an attorney went to Court to get an injunction. Fun times.

The State deferred to the school district, and the SD solicitor “made it all go away.”

Just a small slice of a STATE mandating one size fits all health mandate...so lets all be happy the Feds have taken on even MORE!

Post hoc, ergo propter hoc.

Bet you $1000 the girl drank water sometime in the week preceding her death, too. Gotta ban that dihydrogen monoxide quickly!

Morons.

I don’t think chicken pox is such a bad disease, either. I don’t know that it has any really bad effects, except you can get shingles later, I know that.

And, of course it is imperative to be vaccinated against many diseases. I’m not sure what I think about Gardisil, I do think I object to it being mandatory. We kind of missed that one with my daughter by a few years. She did have the anti-menengitis shot, but I think it was the good one, didn’t they have another one that came out that had some potentially really bad side-effects, like Guillien-Barre syndrome?

Or was that for something else? You don’t want to get G-B syndrome, that is for sure!
