I was merely drawing attention to the Moniker. My moniker is based on my favorite comic book character.

I can understand that.

Police have got to get over themselves shooting first and asking questions later.

One of the “witnesses” also says the police were trying to run them over with their car. That is a new one to me.

I think they were trying to grab the arrested away from the cops, hence the use of that term in the earlier incident (Murrieta).

Yes. There’s more than one conflicting witness statement. First, he’s alone but moments later there’s another guy with him. Then we have the story that he wasn’t from the neighborhood which makes it sound like he didn’t know anyone there even though granny’s from da hood, so again, who’s this other guy? Another conflicting story is 1) the kid had his hands up in the air when he was shot and 2) he was running for his life when he was shot. The autopsy will be the deciding factor. If he was shot in the back, the officer is done for. If he was shot in the chest, then that could be evidence of sons of obola charging at the cop.

I LOVE your post! You are awaiting facts before making a decision. We need much more of that.

Indeed. The welfare state requires a police state to keep order amongst the idle, to enforce the exaction of funds from the productive, and to cram its values down the throats of all its subjects.

Many police-state victims are just in the wrong place at the wrong time, and encounter an aggressive, heavily-armed cop who has Barney Fife’s judgment but none of his good nature. And, by wrong place and wrong time, I include asleep in their own home as a SWAT team serves a warrant to the wrong address. Is there any doubt that simply commenting at FreeRepublic put one under the watchful eye of the national security apparatus?

The case in point is another inexcusable and tragic consequence of the American welfare state.

Another description,

"...St. Louis County Police Jon Belmar said the incident began when the officer encountered two men on the street near an apartment complex on Saturday afternoon in a predominantly black suburb a few miles north of downtown St. Louis.

Belmar said one of the men pushed the officer back into his squad car and the struggle began. Belmar said at least one shot was fired inside the police car.

The struggle spilled out into the street where the teenager was shot. Police have not disclosed his name, but family members say it was 18-year-old Michael Brown. ."

Another one,

" St. Louis County Police Chief Jon Belmar told reporters that the 18-year-old shot by a Ferguson Police officer Saturday, had struggled with the officer over his sidearm.

Belmar says that the officer had ‘an encounter’ with two individuals on the street. Belmar says as the officer tried to get out of his car, one of the subjects pushed him back in and began assaulting him, “It is our understanding, at this point in the investigation, that there was a struggle over the officer’s weapon. There was at least one shot fired within the car.”

Belmar says after the officer got out of the car, he shot Michael Brown about 35 feet from the vehicle."

“Interesting moniker for somebody with that opinion.”

Good one! (I’ve wondered about that screen name before).

Anybody else remember Jon (I think that was his name) and Ponch? I don’t believe that in all the years CHiPs was on, those two never pulled their pieces.

Now it seems that merely having an “altercation” with one of Murca’s finest is grounds for a good, ol’-fashioned killin’.
