“I thought it was a northern pike,” the 12-year-old Minneapolis girl said
Smart girl; knows her fish. I would have thought the same thing.

A pike can hurt you. I know of a guy who nearly bled to death after getting attacked by a musky he planted in a private pond.

We deal with these issues all the time and are dealing with the possible loss of the trapper services provided to our county.
The nature do gooders think deterent animals are the solution. We had three llamas killed in one night by a lion. A neighbor lost a 450 calf to a lion.
Often a trap or well palced shot is needed.
Otters are very destructive and dangerous. Many of these animals are no longer afraid of humans. I had a bobcat almost knock me down while pursuing a cat. It waas quite un-nerving to be struck by a wild cat.
