Sarah Palin - ALS Ice Bucket Challenge (Politician)
Sarah Palin - ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. I accept Wasilla Arctic Cats #icebucketchallenge to #strikeoutALS and will donate to the Pete Frates #3 Fund. Watch my video to see whom I challenge. Hat tip to actor Patrick Stewart for reminding everyone with his video that the donation is the most important part of the #icebucketchallenge, not the frivolous water-tossing theatrics that those of us who are more thoughtfully serious choose to forgo.
Find out more about #ALS and learn the story behind the #icebucketchallenge here: http://is.gd/EchG4H and here: http://petefrates.com/
Next up, it's Todd's turn!

i love that! and the smile at the very end was adorable! when i saw Patrick Stewart’s yesterday, that was my favorite... but now this is my fave... i wish it would viral with other fathers furthering it!
Ever since I saw Al and Tipper Gore doing the Macarena at the Democrat National Convention, I stopped paying attention to summer fads. And being able to keep my dinner down.
I have heard that ALS research involves embryonic stem cell research.
She’d melt.
I can’t wait to see Sarah do this.
She did...it's on the video.
“This token effort is a sham.”
You mean this “token” effort that’s raised over $32 million towards a cure so far?
Rethink.
last year during this period: 2 million
this year same period: 50 million.
This fad is outstanding! The cash is coming in...
Hotness. I want you to be my president.
Have heard the ALSA supports embryonic stem cell research. That would be a deal-breaker for a Catholic like me. Check-out alsa.org and see for yourself.
But how much is actually getting to treatment and research?

Not all use aborted babies for research. Here is one that
I will be donating to. I got challenged this am.
Here's their Form 990:

Here's an article on the subject:
http://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/local/2014/08/21/als-association-finances-2013/14380977/
In 2013, "The association paid out $6.6 million in grants for research and clinical trials to attempt to cure the disease."
Their office is on K. St. in D.C. They are lobbyists.
From what I read, their donations received in 2014 will be much higher than in 2013.
My point was that Palin’s effort was token. I wholeheartedly applaud the Ice Bucket Challenge fund raising ecforts. This publicity is great news for the ALS association.
Sorry my comments were misconstrued.
