My prayer is that EVERYONE who cares about our Military and our Country will get out and vote in November and vot for EVERY Republican on their ticket! Yes, even if the Republican candidate is not their “favorite” Republican!

Andrew Breitbarts words once again:

“Anyone that’s willing to stand next to me to fight the progressive left, I will be in that bunker, and if you’re not in that bunker ‘cause you’re not satisfied with this candidate, more than shame on you. You’re on the other side.”

Wow, I would have thought these articles would have petered out by now, but I guess not. The author’s got “Stockholm syndrome” - telling us it’s our fault that Obama beat the unelectable Romney, when conservatives were the ones telling anyone who would listen that Romney could never win.

Broken glass. Just saying. Was it Reagan who said always vote for the more conservative candidate. A lot of freepers let us down in 2012 and will still attack anyone who says so. Bring it.

Anyone who has not read his autobiography and blueprint for action, RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION, really should get a copy now. It's never too late.

Romney came out against the GOP pro-life platform and reclaimed his position as pro-abortion, one of his many secret goals to destroy conservatism, was to make the GOP pro-abortion.

If you want America to end having a party that opposes abortion, then fight for it.

As it is, the GOP caught itself after Romney's losing an election the GOP couldn't lose, after his running of pro-choice ads in Ohio, Virginia, and Wisconsin, and now the GOP is reaffirming that it will remain the pro-life party.

"On January 22, thousands gathered on the National Mall in Washington for the annual March for Life that takes place on the date that Roe v. Wade was decided by the Supreme Court.

The same week, the Republican National Committee decided that it was time for the national party to wade back into the pro-life waters after a perceived hiatus from using it as a platform issue. A “Resolution on Republican Pro-Life Strategy” formally re-established abortion as a 2014 election issue for the party and seeks to push back on the “war on women” rhetoric that Democrats have made synonymous with the pro-life movement.

The RNC clearly believes once again that a prominent pro-life position plays well with voters."

I think the people who refused to stand behind Romney for whatever reason are regretting their decision.

Andrew laid out as clearly as ever that the enemy was the "progressive left"

He always said our biggest enemy was the media. He was right. I think about him often.

Have been a nose-holder for several years, and will probably do so again in November (my rep is pretty much GOPe, unfortunately). But not in 2016. If Romney or Bush (I'll add Christie in here, too) end up as the GOP candidate, they won't be getting my vote. Romney might be a successful businessman, but he is a terrible politician and certainly not a conservative. And the Bush family's many gaffes and love of big government are well documented, so no thanks to a Jeb candidacy.

I held my nose and voted for Romney. I will not vote for a RINO again.

If the GOP nominates another country-club, cronyist RINO in 2016 I will write in Ted Cruz and move to Texas - I figure it’s the state with the best chance of making it as an independent nation when the Union dissolves.

Re: “Since the election in 2012, I have been so irritated and angry at those who decided to stay home and not vote in 2012...”

This claim - that 4 million white Conservatives stayed home in 2012 - has never been verified by actual analysis.

There are two reasons to doubt this claim is actually true:

(1) Romney got 1 million MORE votes than McCain.

(2) Obama got 4.5 million LESS white votes in 2012.

Based on that evidence, you could claim that 4.5 million disillusioned white voters rejected Obama in 2012 and stayed home.

I watched Lone Survivor at home the other night. The Seals made the decision to let the goat herders go and try to get an extraction before they could tell the Taliban that Americans were in the woods. They made that decision based on what would happen to them if they killed unarmed civilians, they would be charged for murder. So the Seals ended up getting murdered instead. That is what is happening every day to our troops, taking unnecessary risk due to political correctness and the hatred of them by our POTUS.

To: seekthetruth; All

People, I don’t know why we are going down this road again, so early before 2016.

First, no one is taking about “staying home” in any election now.

Second, you (seekthetruth, aka Beverly Perlson) seem to have forgotten about Cantor’s demise in his primary when you wrote “, the last time I checked these “Non-establishment Republicans” as they now refer to themselves, I think their candidates fared a pathetic something like 0 for 7 in recent elections.”

Perhaps you have already written off David Brat as “unelectable” which is why you then went on to write, “The Republican candidates that truly have a chance to beat the Democrats in the November election fared very well...”

Tell me Ms. Perlson, have you written off David Brat? Is he also not worth this “unity” you speak of, or is that only reserved for the “electable” Republicans in November? Answer me.

If I seem a bit unnecessarily agitated forgive me. I do commend you for all the work you seem to be doing for all our brave men and women in the military. But this call for “unity” seems, to me, to be both premature and frankly one-sided because again, you seem to have forgotten Brat’s victory and/or don’t seem all that concerned about supporting his candidacy. http://davebrat.com

Finally the e-mail you quoted doesn’t seem divisive at all. To me. What is so divisive about it, specifically? Simply because it calls for an ousting of the establishment in Washington?

Please note I’m not advocating anyone “stay home” in November. I certainly won’t even though I’m from Maryland. It’s our duty to vote because men better than you and I died to gain us such a privilege. But I will not say to another that a vote cast against a despicable, dishonorable, cowardly establishment GOPer is “helping the other side” (whatever that means in such a race anyway). Not anymore. NOT, after Mississippi.

It’s time we conservatives realize we are fighting two fronts, one against the Democrats and one against the elitists. This is the sad state of affairs we find ourselves in, that’s just the fact if the situation. Calls for “unity” are meaningless under such conditions. Especially BEFORE any presidential primaries take place.

Bottom line will I vote for a Republican in a general election? Most likely yes, no matter how liberal he may be, just to get the majority in the houses. With some grievous exceptions. Cochran comes to mind here. If I lived in MS, I wouldn’t vote for him, because you know what Ms. Perlson (and anyone else reading this)? He doesn’t really care for conservatism either, which means he doesn’t care for the troops. You can take that to the bank.

And any call for “unity”.

It's CRITICAL that every FReeper read the SIXTH PARAGRAPH in the article above.

It begins "Now here we are, September, 2014."

It succinctly encapsulates perfectly where we are and why we should be where we should be.
