I have a prayer request. I am having cancer surgery on Sept 16. Less than two weeks away. I'm having a mastectomy, with reconstruction. It all gets done (or at least started) on the table. Please pray for my fear, which is usually at the manageable level. And that I make it through surgery. I'll be in the hospital for one day. I opted to stay with my surgical oncologist that operated on me two years ago (cancer then too) for many reasons, one being he's THE breast cancer surgeon in Middle GA. Trouble is, after I was diagnosed, I've moved and he's now a bit more than an hour away. Still, I need to stay with him. I just couldn't trust anyone else. Also there's an excellent, skilled plastic surgeon down there that I will have. I don't know how I'll get back and forth afterwards, for the further work on reconstruction, but I will just have to find a way. Thank you for your prayers, my FRiends Shimmer

Father, please hold Shimmer1 in you loving arms as she faces this second surgery. Please stay with her as she faces the followup surgeries and treatments. Please ease her fears as you guide the hands of her surgical team. We ask this in Jesus Name. Amen

i remember that fear well before my surgery, FRriend shimmer. I found comfort in the 23rd Psalm.
Lord please stay close to her. Lord comfort her. i ask You to tell her again and again to “fear not” and “do not be afraid” as You have so many brothers and sisters who have walked through the “shadow.” strenghten her faith. comfort her family. help her, Lord, to manage all the details and smooth the path for her, Lord. bless and use her doctors for her healing, for Your ever greater glory Jesus. In Your glorious and merciful name i pray, Amen.

Prayers for good results and for company. Human or/and angel. Not the little cupid, a warrior angel that scares anyone who sees him, eh? There is a battle going on so how about a platoon?
I think that one of the hardest, and harshest, lessons for me is to humble myself and admit that I need help.
My ego tells me that I do not need it, but I have found that when I listen to my ego, I generally make matters worse.
Your friends are probably like mine; eager to be there in whatever way they can to assist. Who are we to deprive them of that pleasure?
