We prefer Logan’s in Rockwall. Same concept.
Prayers for the girl.
Not me. I say go out and shine a laser at the helicopter. And wave at the pilot.
It happened a couple of times where I lived in Orange County, CA. The helicopters are incredibly loud when they hover near the ground, and their loudspeakers are even louder. The blinding searchlights add a memorable effect.
Both times the cops were looking for a guy who just broke into the nearby supermarket.
Couple months back here in Nueva Yorke, cops stopped a mentally disturbed man who was “weeping, bleeding, and cutting himself” at the side of the road.
( darn emo kids)
While waiting for an ambulance to arrive, the guy bolted off into the woods.
Poloce response, not to check the woods, but to pull over cars arriving onto the scene, and buzz businesses and harass employees of same.
So a couple hours go by, one cop finallly finds the weeper in a field, and they take him for evaluation.
Yet they continued with the circling helicopter and vehicle stops for some reason.
Insane.
You sure they’re not ISIS choppers?
Lock your doors and turn on all the lights — inside and out.
We had two over Pearland, Texas, a couple of nights ago. One was pretty much in a holding pattern, the other flying zig-zags. Never anything on the news.
Good question.
The loudspeaker would be blaring that warbling “call to prayer” A.K.A. “assume the allah position”.
Amber Alerts don’t just go out over TV and radio. They also turn up on your Iphone and any other mobile devices you have. The time, expense and manpower of a helicopter are totally unnecessary and counter-productive. Sounds like a hoax to me.
I don’t see a dog, lets move on.
If they tried to shoot one of my dogs I would be doing my best to shoot them first. And if I did not and I survived, they would never have a safe moment. I wonder if they ever think about that when shooting up peoples dogs?
“Uh..meow?”
You mean “bottoms up”?
Living near the Forest Lawn neighbourhood of Calgary, the local cops have also been daily flying over my neighboorhood for years; no loudspeakers blaring so far, though. A city of 1.1 million, with two police helicopters, wow!
I lived in L.A. for decades. If I didn't hear helicopters every night, I got the creeps. Just felt like something was 'missing' - you know?
I got the heck out of there 9 years ago and moved to Texas. I hardly ever hear police helicopters anymore, and I like it that way.
Yup!
from a helicopter? very strange

It’s dark here. The helos have NightSun lights that turn that dark into brightness.
Canine target alert.

Maybe if your daughter were the one who was missing, you might have a different opinion.
