That sounds highly unusual if they have no real reason to think the girl is there,
get any pics or video?
You should let her go?
See my tagline.
Secure your canines!
I see that a guy shot down an LAPD helicopter on Easter sunday 2011.
get any pics or video?

Nope. I worked for Bell Helicopter for 35 years and BH has sold to most of the LEOs in North Texas. The aircraft are usually also equipped with infrared cameras. I’ve seen video from our test facilities of both the light and the IR.
One video showed a motorist on IR that had pulled over on a back road over a mile from the plant and was taking a leak. The IR is very heat sensitive. ....The NightSun light is extreemly bright.
I live less than a mile from an airport that used to be an air naval base. Occasionally Chinooks will fly over our house on the way to and from the airport. They definitely rattle things.
I don't know that guy's motivation, but with the first helicopter I had to talk myself out of a "fight or flight" response. Too much noise and too many flashing bright lights too quickly.
This is why you should always carry a cane and tap shoes.
the supposed ‘missing girl’ gives them free access to everyone’s home
this is the type of bs that will get out of hand very quickly
>>> A related new concept is the phone Dear Leader Feature, in which Obama himself can bypass all other officials and phone text you directly. it is possible that the permissibility of this feature is still being debated.
Well I surely hope that particular ‘feature’ gets nixed.
At the moment I have neither TV nor Internet at home, so I miss out on some of the new *ahem* Government Announcement to the Community-at-large Whether You Want It or Not services.
A FRiend has informed me that Amber Alerts & other alerts deemed worthy by civil servants disrupt regular TV programming at ear-splitting volume no matter what volume you set before drifting off peacefully to sleep, for instance. The authorites in his area, with apparently the cooperation of TV manufacturers and the cable companies, can hijack your own TV in your own house.
While I never imagined that sort of intrusion (meaning on a local/state/federal gov’t level), the expectation of being available to others at all times is what made me resist buying myself a cell phone for as long as I did. I have to admit that - frustrating as it is when I can’t reach my Dad sometimes - I admire his continued resistance.
The first time we lived in (San Marino) California we were scared of the helicopters flying over our house, circling around and around. Scared us to death. We assumed it was a bad guy running from cops, and it may have been. After living in L.A. area five times since 1988, helicopters flying overhead no longer scare us. But it is so strange the first time or two!
Helicopters like that have been common in California for as long as I can remember, going back to 1988 when we first lived out there. Have never seen them doing this in Texas, yet.....
Years ago, on the East side of the Metroplex, I posted some insults against george $oro$ here on FR
Five minutes later, a lone helicopter circled my neighborhood for ten minutes, shining its searchlights down on me everytime it passed overhead while I watched it from one of my windows.
At the time, I couldn’t help but think that the Creepy Dude had skin as thin as obama’s.

Just train the dog to run a zig zag pattern.
Did you call the cops to see what was going on?
