I am singularly distressed by the lack of an adequate thread for us.

When I wake up in the middle of the night, I often feel I can get up and set the world on fire, but after I go back to sleep, I wake up feeling like the rag wheels of hell... Go figger.
I thought it would be nice to walk today, but I will have to take some Ibuprofen before I can even think about it again.

Good morning! Byos are getting their uniforms on for a joint Knights of Columbus-Cub Scouts activity. I need sunscreen.
Kathleen is in her Cutest Pink Baby Ever uniform.

"When I wake up in the middle of the night, I often feel I can get up and set the world on fire, but after I go back to sleep, I wake up feeling like the rag wheels of hell... Go figger." When I'm lying in bed, I have all kinds of ambitions; projects to finish, new ones to start.
Then when I get up, anything beyond the first cup of coffee seems an insurmountable obstacle.
Could it be the world is Polarized, and it's only my being vertical that impedes my making progress?

Afternoon. A successful fundraiser: people always give to the Cub Scouts, because they’re so cute. Kathleen is poorly again, but I have to go to choir practice anyway while she has her nap.

It’s Conference weekend, so I’m on and off the computer until 1500.
One of my neighbors loaned me a book about the 20th Century. Each page is a month in the calendar, and right now, I’m only up to September 1903.
And speaking of books...when I went up to the community room to pay the rent yesterday, there was a 5th Edition “The Complete Works of Shakespeare” by David Bevington...nearly 2000 pages, on the “FREE!” table. I didn’t even think twice! I snatched that puppy up!
Yes, I know: the last thing I need is another book, but go figger.
In my quiet times, I’m making a new footstool cover to match the rug and furniture. It was an olive green, but I no longer have anything green in my apartment. I’m nearly done with the top, but will have to make a little “tingly-roo” for the top decoration, and for once, I’m going to add a little feminine flounce to something. I’ve always tried to keep my furniture in the classic/comfy mode, figuring I can add frills with the accessories.
So this is a departure for me. Mostly, I’ve had a rather masculine look to things, but hay, I’m 70...I can add a ruffle or two!

I’m working on a new design for refrigerator magnets. Not that there’s anything wrong with “JESUS,” but some of my friends aren’t Christian.
Kathleen is still mopey after her nap, but at least she hasn’t thrown up again. Asuncion’s landlord recarpeted their house. She’s very happy. When your carpet is too old, no amount of effort makes it look clean.

When one lives in sub-standard housing, no matter the reason, NOTHING is new and exciting. It is all old and has-beenish.
My neighbor has been flirting with me today, off and on...I don’t know what to do with that boy....shall I ask him to make a list?

Give a cat a fish, and you'll have a daily visitor.
Teach a cat to fish, and you can be a you-tube hero.
